The Convention and the Dates
The American Football Coaches Association meets at the Indiana Convention Center from Sunday 14 February to Tuesday 16 February 2027. The venue lists a forecast attendance of 7,000. Its city figures put 7,100 hotel rooms downtown and 4,700 rooms connected to the center by skywalk.
One Authorised Housing Route
An AFCA housing notice names Fastbreak Travel the Official Housing Company and the only authorized provider for convention hotel reservations. The notice states that bookings inside the block help the association meet its contractual commitments with its host hotels. Unauthorised companies that contact members are not affiliated with the AFCA, and the notice says reservations made through them are not guaranteed.
Twenty-Three Properties in the Block
The housing vendor lists 23 properties for the convention dates. Twenty-two publish a starting rate. The band runs from 139 dollars at TRU by Hilton to 264 dollars at Marriott Indianapolis Downtown, and Signia by Hilton Indianapolis publishes 235 dollars. JW Marriott Indianapolis carries no published figure.
The Deposit Dates and the Cut-Offs
Six properties state that one night of room and tax is due on or around 15 January 2027 and collected by the hotel: JW Marriott Indianapolis, Marriott Indianapolis Downtown, Fairfield Inn and Suites, Springhill Suites, Courtyard by Marriott Indianapolis Downtown and The Westin Indianapolis.
Signia by Hilton Indianapolis takes a nonrefundable night of room and tax on or around 22 January 2027.
Block cut-offs fall on 14 January for eight properties, 21 January for one and 22 January for the other fourteen. Three set a two-night minimum: Holiday Inn Indianapolis Downtown by IHG, Hyatt Place and Hyatt House Indianapolis Downtown, and Omni Severin Hotel.
Set the walk-away number before 15 January, while the first group is still asking rather than holding.
The Nights That Carry the Rooms
The block's published per-night inventory, read on 22 September 2026: 376 rooms for Friday 12 February, 1,625 for Saturday 13 February, 1,842 for Sunday 14 February, 1,752 for Monday 15 February and 431 for Tuesday 16 February.
Sunday 14 February carries 1,842 rooms against the 7,100 downtown rooms the venue publishes, about 26 per cent of the city. The largest single property that night is JW Marriott Indianapolis at 376 rooms, about 20 per cent of the published count, and Signia by Hilton Indianapolis adds 174, about 9 per cent.
Friday 12 February at 376 rooms and Tuesday 16 February at 431 rooms are the thin nights. Three properties publish nothing for the closing Tuesday night. A buyer who needs a Friday arrival or a Wednesday departure negotiates against a shorter list than one who needs Sunday and Monday only.
Parking, Breakfast and the Extra-Adult Fees
Signia by Hilton Indianapolis sits 0.145 miles from 100 South Capitol Ave at 235 dollars and publishes no parking rate. Three properties publish parking at 25 dollars a day: Holiday Inn Indianapolis Downtown by IHG at 149 dollars, Holiday Inn Express and Suites Indianapolis Dtn Convention Center at 169 dollars and Staybridge Suites Indianapolis Downtown at 169 dollars. Holiday Inn Indianapolis Downtown states that complimentary breakfast is included in the quoted room rate.
Parking runs higher elsewhere: 50 dollars valet at Hyatt Regency Indianapolis, 54 dollars self and 59 dollars valet at Hilton Indianapolis Hotel and Suites, 55 dollars valet only at Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre Hotel, 56 to 68 dollars at Omni Severin Hotel, 35 dollars discounted at Hyatt Place and Hyatt House, and 30 dollars self at TRU by Hilton.
Two nights at 149 dollars come to 298 dollars. Two nights at 235 dollars come to 470 dollars. The gap is 172 dollars before tax.
Two properties charge an extra adult fee per night per room for occupants aged 18 and over: 10 dollars at Hilton Indianapolis Hotel and Suites and 25 dollars at Hyatt Regency Indianapolis. Three records state a skywalk connection: JW Marriott Indianapolis, The Westin Indianapolis and Marriott Indianapolis Downtown.
What to Put in the Request

Ask for the parking line before the rate. Holiday Inn Indianapolis Downtown already includes breakfast and already holds parking at 25 dollars a day, the combination to price against the walk to Signia. Ask Hilton Indianapolis Hotel and Suites and Hyatt Regency Indianapolis to drop the nightly extra adult fee on a staff block. Get the cut-off date and the cancellation terms in writing.
The block file carries no Indianapolis room tax rate, no Signia parking rate, no attrition floor and no pickup percentage.
