One price list, four rungs
The Holiday Festival of Lights runs November 13 to December 31, 2026 at James Island County Park, 871 Riverland Drive. Gates run 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and admission is charged per vehicle.
Charleston County Parks prints one volume ladder for gift passes. Passes cost $25 each at 1 to 9, $24 at 10 to 50, $23 at 51 to 250, and $22 at 251 or more. Each pass admits 1 to 15 guests per vehicle.
No other ticket line on the site moves with volume. The ladder is the published discount, and it is open to any buyer.
Three dollars across the whole ladder
The ladder spans three dollars between the first rung and the last. That span is 12 percent of the $25 rung.
The rungs step one dollar at a time. An order of 250 vehicles pays $23 a vehicle. One more vehicle pays $22 for every vehicle in the order.
At 251 vehicles the top rung saves $753 against the $25 rung.
Ask for the $22 rung by name. The page publishes the rung and the clerk confirms it without a concession.
Price the rung against the night
The gate price moves with the night. Charleston County Parks grades each night green, yellow or red from expected attendance, and the grade sets the price.
A green night costs $15 online and $25 at the gate. A yellow night costs $25 and $35. A red night costs $30 and $45.
A $24 pass beats the yellow online ticket by $1 and the red online ticket by $6. The $22 rung beats the red gate by $23 a vehicle.
A green-night online ticket at $15 beats every rung on the ladder. Volume pays on the heavy nights.
Terms that follow the order
Customer Relations takes the order at 843-795-4386. Processing takes three business days. Payment falls due when the order is placed, and the passes must reach the group before arrival.
A pass covers 1 to 15 guests in one vehicle. The gift-pass page prints no date and no grade against a pass, so confirm the night rule before the order goes in.
A published rate to bargain against
The same agency rents 10 cottages inside the park. During the festival a cottage runs $229 Sunday to Thursday and $279 Friday and Saturday. Each cottage carries three bedrooms, sleeps eight overnight and holds a 15-person limit.
The cottage rate takes 14 percent accommodations tax and a $5 non-refundable transaction fee. The $279 night lands at $323.06.
Camping sits on the same page. A pull-through site runs $95 Sunday to Thursday and $99 Friday and Saturday. A back-in site runs $83 and $88. A water and electric site runs $73. Primitive tent camping runs $38 and $43. Overflow camping runs $45.
The cottage gives a group one priced lodging figure for the same weeks as the light show. Run the division before the call. Forty guests fill five cottages at $1,615.30 a night. Those same forty guests fill 20 double rooms, and the room side has to land under that figure.
A cottage booking carries a two-night minimum outside the Memorial Day to Labor Day window. Reservations open up to one year ahead.
The order of the call
Count the vehicles first. Place one order at 251 or above and take the $22 rung. Match the band to the nights in use.
Then price the stay. Hold the $323.06 cottage night as the walk-away and carry that figure to the properties.
A hotelHaggle request puts the stay out to 50+ hotels in the destination. Hotels accept, counter or decline within 24 to 72 hours. Submitting the request is free, and the guest pays the hotel directly.
