A Single Day, One Night

Subtract one figure from the other and 2,400 downtown rooms sit outside the skywalk network. The venue's hotels page puts more than half of downtown rooms within blocks of the building. The venue publishes no per-property rate and no property list.
The Night That Is Tight
The venue lists Metal Treating Institute's Furnaces North America across 12 to 15 October with a forecast 1,500, and the Best Practices Expo and Conference across 13 to 15 October with 1,200. The Economic Club of Indiana luncheon takes 13 October with 300, and the Midwest Multifamily Conference runs 15 to 16 October with 950.
The two large events carry 2,700 forecast attendees between them. Tuesday, 13 October takes the heaviest load, and the 950-delegate conference checks in the next day. Your required night of 14 October sits on the softer date. Bid 13 October as a separate request if you add it.
The October Rate

Two properties publish rates for the same week at the same building. Crowne Plaza Downtown Union Station reads $214 a night and Hyatt Regency Indianapolis $229, both described as connected to the convention centre through indoor walking tunnels. The Crowne Plaza block serves the Best Practices Expo, which carries 1,200 delegates across three days. Read $214 as the ceiling for a room under cover.
The Crowne Plaza reduced-rate cut-off is Friday, 25 September. The Hyatt Regency cut-off is Friday, 18 September.
What to Ask on a One-Night Hold
