ATD Core4 runs September 29 to October 1, 2026 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. The venue forecasts 1,000 attendees. A training block that checks in Monday and leaves Thursday books three nights, and every one of those nights falls between Sunday and Thursday.
Read the Venue Calendar First
The Indiana Convention Center publishes an upcoming-events calendar with a forecast attendance figure for each event. A planner reads the supply picture for any window on one page.
The venue lists 12 events between September 22 and October 15, 2026. Three of them share the Core4 dates. The MAPP Benchmarking and Best Practices Conference runs September 29 to October 1 with 650 forecast attendees. ATD OrgDev opens the same Tuesday with 1,000. The three events together forecast 2,650 attendees in one building on one set of dates.
The Do it Best Corp. Fall Market occupies the same building from September 25 to 28 with 12,000 forecast attendees. Its market floor closes at noon on Monday September 28, the day before Core4 opens.
The calendar shows five open days between September 22 and October 15: September 23 and 24, October 2 and 3, and October 11. A block that moves a day either side of Core4 meets a thinner building.
Lever One: Put Both Programmes in One Request
Core4 and OrgDev run the same dates at the same address, and each forecasts 1,000 attendees. One request covering both delegations gives a hotel a single block to price, and it raises the room count the hotel sees.
hotelhaggle sends one request to 50 or more hotels. Each hotel decides whether to accept, counter or decline. Responses arrive within 24 to 72 hours and land in one dashboard for comparison.
Lever Two: Work the Night Pattern
hotelhaggle's group guide states that shoulder nights run Sunday to Thursday and cost 20 to 30 percent less than peak nights. Core4's Tuesday-to-Thursday dates sit inside that band, and a Monday arrival adds a fourth shoulder night.
Register the day count before pricing it. The venue's event page and its calendar both print September 29 to October 1 for Core4. The same venue prints September 29 to October 1 for OrgDev in its listing and September 30 to October 1 in the event page body. Confirm both programmes with the organiser before a Monday arrival goes into the request.
Lever Three: Room Count Sets the Ceiling
hotelhaggle's group guide states that a group needing 30 rooms holds three times the leverage of a group needing 10. The network's group-rate pages quote group pricing from 10 rooms per night, with discounts from five rooms in low season when availability allows.
Lever Four: Ask for Concessions When the Rate Holds
The group guide names the items to request when a hotel will not move on rate: complimentary breakfast, waived resort fees, free parking, suite upgrades and flexible cancellation terms.
Ask each responding hotel for its mandatory charges in writing. ResortFeeChecker publishes an Indianapolis page that records no hotels checked as of March 2026, so the city carries no published fee list to plan against.
Lever Five: The Walk-Away
The group guide lists the power of no as its final lever. A planner carries no obligation on hotelhaggle. Hotels return with improved terms when the business leaves the table.
No page on the platform publishes a floor rate. Each hotel decides how far it will move, and the walk-away carries the pressure.
What the Platform Publishes
hotelhaggle covers 46 states and lists 103,857 hotels. Submitting a request is free. The platform's help pages state that it adds no booking fee, commission or markup to the agreed rate and that the guest pays the hotel directly.
The platform lists Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington as states that restrict name-your-price bookings under state travel law. Indiana is not on the list.
No hotelhaggle page publishes an attrition figure, a pickup percentage or a midweek rate for an Indianapolis property. Establish each of those with the hotel that quotes the block, and put the agreed number in the contract.
Run the Request
Send one request for the Core4 block. Put the room count, the three midweek nights and both ATD programme dates in it. Price every offer against the venue calendar, ask each hotel for its mandatory charges in writing, and use the walk-away when the terms do not hold up.
