What an Orlando room costs by month

Engine measured 4.8 million public rate observations for Orlando between May 2024 and April 2026. The city averages 124 dollars a night, 16 percent below the 148 dollar median of the 50 markets in the study, and ranks 43 of 50.

The month curve, in dollars a night: January 132, February 150, March 143, April 133, May 120, June 130, July 117, August 101, September 101, October 114, November 121, December 129. The cheapest month to the priciest is a 33 percent spread.

Engine calls these par rates, the cheapest publicly available price at the moment of each search. The company states they are advertised rates, and that negotiated rates typically sit below them. The observations cover searches made 10 to 180 days before check-in, so lead time inside that window changes little. The month of stay does.

Where the leverage sits

August and September are the low points, 19 percent below the city average. February is the month to steer around, 21 percent above it. December rebounds on holiday-week theme-park demand, 4 percent above the average.

The ranges below come off the measured rate curve and the dates a booker controls. August and September hold the strongest position. February holds the weakest.

Visit Orlando reports 2025 year-end data of 132,685 rooms, 71.4 percent occupancy and a 202.71 dollar average daily rate. That rate spans the whole hotel universe, and Engine's 124 dollars covers advertised par rates. Neither figure predicts what one property will accept.

The second lever: the mandatory fee line

ResortFeeChecker lists 120 Orlando hotels charging a resort fee, a destination fee or a service fee, with the published nightly amount on each, updated September 2026. Those charges land on the bill after the rate is settled. The ten largest published nightly amounts mark the ten properties where the total cost has the most room to move.

The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes: 61.88 dollars a night

4012 Central Florida Parkway, Orlando 32837. Name the fee in the offer and ask for its removal, paired with an August or September arrival that gives the property rate margin.

JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort and Spa: 61.88 dollars a night

14900 Chelonia Parkway, Orlando 32821. Submit the request and leave it open. A competing request returns an acceptance, a counter or a decline, and a counter is an opening number.

JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes: 61.87 dollars a night

4040 Central Florida Parkway, Orlando 32837. Make the fee waiver a named condition of the request. Conditions travel with the confirmation.

Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort: 56.25 dollars a night

10100 Dream Tree Boulevard, Lake Buena Vista 32836. Ask for the all-in total in writing before you accept: nightly rate, mandatory fee and county tax on one line.

Waldorf Astoria Orlando: 56.25 dollars a night

14200 Bonnet Creek Resort Lane, Orlando 32821. Lock the agreed rate into the confirmation. Peak-month demand gives the property no reason to hold an unwritten number.

Signia by Hilton Orlando: 56.25 dollars a night

14100 Bonnet Creek Resort Lane, Orlando 32821. Seven properties on this list carry the same nightly amount. Open with off-peak dates, because August and September open the waiver conversation.

Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress: 56.25 dollars a night

One Grand Cypress Boulevard, Orlando 32836. Ask for a mid-week arrival across a two-night stay. The fee is charged per room per night, so the nights you drop carry the same charge as the nights you keep.

Walt Disney World Swan Reserve: 56.25 dollars a night

1255 EPCOT Resorts Boulevard, Lake Buena Vista 32830. For ten or more rooms a night, request group terms. Most hotels quote group rates at ten rooms, and some from five.

Walt Disney World Swan: 56.25 dollars a night

1200 EPCOT Resort Boulevard, Lake Buena Vista 32830. Send the same dates to competing properties in one pass, so the waiver sits against live alternatives.

Walt Disney World Dolphin: 56.25 dollars a night

1500 EPCOT Resort Boulevard, Lake Buena Vista 32830. Set a 24 to 72 hour response window. Responses typically land inside it, and the deadline stops a late counter from holding the booking.

The next tier, and what the channel costs a hotel

Below those ten: Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate 54.96 dollars a night, Margaritaville Resort Orlando 54.48, Hyatt Regency Orlando and Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld 54, Orlando World Center Marriott 52.87, Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center 51.53, Coco Key Hotel and Water Park Resort 50.63, Conrad Orlando at Evermore 50, Caribe Royale Orlando 42.75 and Buena Vista Suites Orlando 25.88.

The Lobby's 2026 commission table gives the hotel side: Booking.com 15 to 18 percent, Expedia and Hotels.com 15 to 25 percent, HRS 10 to 15 percent, Airbnb a 3 to 5 percent host fee. Booking.com's Genius programme requires member discounts of 10 to 15 percent, which takes the effective commission on a Genius booking to 25 to 28 percent. The Lobby states that the all-in cost of OTA distribution runs above the headline percentage once rate parity obligations and paid visibility programmes are counted.

The Florida rule on name-your-price

hotelhaggle's Seller of Travel page lists Florida with Hawaii, Iowa and Washington as states where the platform cannot process booking requests, from residents of those states or for travel to them. The page states the reason: those states require travel sellers to hold registrations and financial assurances. Its help article on seller-of-travel requirements lists the same four states and adds California.

Confirm the Florida flow before you open a bid for an Orlando stay.

hotelhaggle describes its offer model on two pages. The how-it-works page states that submitting a request is free and that hotels pay the platform a commission when a booking completes, with no markup on the rate. The home page states no commissions and no fees, and that the traveler pays the hotel directly.

The sequence to run

Move the dates to August or September when the trip allows. Name the mandatory fee in the request and ask for its removal. Take the all-in total in writing: nightly rate, mandatory fee and the county tourist development tax on stays of less than six months. Hold February and December dates against a locked rate only. Compare every counter on the all-in number. Open the request at hotelhaggle.org once the Florida flow is confirmed.
