Three Properties Still Open: The Cut-Off Ladder At The AI Conference 2026

The AI Conference 2026 runs Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 at Pier 48, a waterfront venue in the Mission Rock neighborhood of San Francisco. The organiser publishes a three-day calendar and a delegate count above 5,500 on its home page. Its FAQ page carries an eight-property housing list.

Sept. 29, 2026 is a Tuesday. Sept. 30 is a Wednesday. Oct. 1 is a Thursday. A delegate who books the event nights checks in on the Tuesday and checks out on the Friday, three nights in total.

Eight Properties, Ranked By Availability

The FAQ heads the list with one line: nearby hotels, listed in order of availability. The order runs SoMa House, W San Francisco, Cartwright Hotel Union Square, Hotel VIA, Luma Hotel San Francisco, Hyatt Regency San Francisco, Hotel Fiona and Hotel Julian.

Three properties carry the label STILL AVAILABLE. They are SoMa House at 121 7th Street, W San Francisco at 181 3rd Street, and Cartwright Hotel Union Square at 524 Sutter Street. The other five carry a cut-off date, an address and a distance.

The organiser publishes the distances. Luma sits 0.3 mile and a six-minute walk from Pier 48. Hotel VIA sits 0.6 mile and a nine-minute walk. Hyatt Regency sits 1.6 miles and nine minutes by car. W San Francisco sits 1.8 miles. SoMa House and Hotel Fiona sit 1.9 miles, Cartwright 2.3 miles and Hotel Julian 2.4 miles.

The Cut-Off Ladder Runs Aug. 28 To Sept. 6

Seven of the eight properties print a cut-off date. Luma closes first, on Aug. 28, 2026, a Friday. Cartwright, Hotel Fiona and Hotel Julian each close on Aug. 29, a Saturday. W San Francisco closes on Sept. 1, a Tuesday. Hotel VIA closes on Sept. 2, a Wednesday. Hyatt Regency closes last, on Sept. 6, a Sunday. SoMa House prints no cut-off date.

The ladder spans nine days. Its first rung closes more than a month before arrival. A delegate who reads the list in late August sees four properties shut inside 48 hours and four stay open into September.

Ask For The Rate Behind Each Group Link

Every property carries a Booking link, and each link carries a group identifier. SoMa House books through an iHotelier page carrying groupID 5128792, Hotel Fiona through groupID 5128921 and Hotel Julian through groupID 5128785. Hotel VIA books through a Windsurfer link carrying group 4564318. Luma books through a SynXis link carrying group 9153766. Hyatt Regency books through a Hyatt group-booking page for the SFORD property under the code G-AICO. W San Francisco books through a Marriott event-reservations link keyed GRP, and Cartwright books through a shortened link.

Read the query string before you click. The Windsurfer link carries a check-in of Sept. 27, 2026. The SynXis link carries an arrival of Sept. 27, 2026 and a departure of Oct. 2, 2026. The first date lands two days before the conference opens. Reset both links to your own dates.

The list publishes no nightly rate for any of the eight. Ask each property for the rate behind its group identifier, then compare.

An Early Call And A Late Call

The early call goes to the three properties that flag STILL AVAILABLE. SoMa House prints no cut-off, so ask it first and ask it for a date. W San Francisco holds Sept. 1 and Cartwright holds Aug. 29.

The organiser states on the same FAQ that prices will increase. That line belongs to conference tickets, not to the room block. Read it as a signal about the event, and ask each property for the room terms in writing.

A late call still works. A booker who decides in early September still has four properties to approach: W San Francisco to Sept. 1, Hotel VIA to Sept. 2, Hyatt Regency to Sept. 6, and SoMa House with no published cut-off.

Three Event Nights, All Midweek

All three event nights fall on a Tuesday, a Wednesday and a Thursday. hotelhaggle publishes the group-rate guidance for this pattern: shoulder nights, Sunday through Thursday, run 20 to 30 percent below peak nights. The whole stay sits in that band.

Ask for the three nights as one block, then ask for the Monday, Sept. 28 night on its own line. The organiser caps Day ZERØ, its Sept. 29 workshop day, at 350 participants and states that it is sold out. A delegate who arrives the night before needs that fourth night priced before signing.

Run The Ask Through One Request

One request through hotelhaggle goes to 50 or more hotels in the destination. Submission is free and carries no obligation. The platform publishes a 24-to-72-hour response window, states that your rate is never marked up, and states that you pay the hotel directly. Most hotels offer group rates at 10 or more rooms per night, and some discount from five rooms depending on season and availability.

hotelhaggle lists six negotiation levers. The concession lever asks for perks in place of a rate cut: complimentary breakfast, waived resort fees, free parking, suite upgrades and flexible cancellation terms. The room-count lever sets the ask against the group size, where a block of 30 rooms carries three times the leverage of a block of 10. The walk-away lever closes the list. An offer can be declined at no cost, and a property that wants the booking can return with a better one.

Four Terms To Collect Before You Sign

Put four terms in writing. The rate for Sept. 29 to Oct. 2 as one block, plus the Sept. 28 rate. The cut-off date and the release date on unbooked rooms. The rooming-list deadline and the charge for a name change. The parking and breakfast terms.

The organiser has published the list, the three STILL AVAILABLE flags and the Aug. 28 to Sept. 6 ladder. Send one request against the eight named properties and let each one answer with the rate behind its group link.
