The meeting and its clock
The 2027 ASCO Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium runs January 21 to 23, 2027 at Moscone West in San Francisco. Registration stays open through 4:30 p.m. Pacific on Saturday, January 23.
The organiser sells registration in three windows. On or before December 2, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern is the first. December 3, 2026 to January 8, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern is the second. From January 9, 2027 is the third.
The conference banner carries the instruction in five words. Register by Dec. 2 to save.
The fee ladder across the three windows
In-person Physician or Scientist sits at $975 member and $1,495 nonmember in the first window, $1,125 and $1,645 in the second, and $1,200 and $1,720 in the third.
In-Training runs $290 and $375, then $440 and $525, then $515 and $600. Affiliated Health Professional runs $545 and $805, then $695 and $955, then $770 and $1,030. A nonmedical or industry registration, sold to nonmembers only, runs $1,835, then $1,985, then $2,060.
Online-only Physician or Scientist runs $780 and $1,195, then $905 and $1,320, then $955 and $1,370. Patient advocates pay $0 for online-only access in all three windows.
The first window saves $225 on a Physician or Scientist registration, member or nonmember, and $175 on the online-only seat. The saving closes at 11:59 p.m. Eastern on December 2.
The housing deadline lands on the same minute
The hotel reservation deadline is December 2, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. A reservation that arrives after that minute is processed on a space-available basis and may carry higher rates.
A group block goes through the ASCO GI Cancers Symposium Customer Service Center. SPARGO, Inc. is the only official registration and housing provider for ASCO Meetings and Symposia, and ASCO publishes that it charges no service fees, tax or VAT on registration.
ASCO's own fraud alert asks attendees to register and reserve hotels only through its website.
The asks to put in writing
A buyer should hold four answers on paper before December 2. The room rate and any fee applied above two occupants. The cancellation term that attaches to the specific reservation. The date the reservation turns over from the bureau to the property. And whether a small block can carry the same window a single room carries.
December 2 carries both the registration window and the housing deadline, so one call covers both.
