The block floor is 169 dollars a night
The ASHA Annual Convention runs November 19 to November 21, 2026 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. Registration covers all three days. The venue event page forecasts 13,500 attendees, and the venue body text on the same page says approximately 13,000. The ASHA convention site says approximately 15,000. Three published numbers disagree, so size the block against the sheet.
ASHA publishes a hotel rate sheet dated 9/10/26, with a nightly rate for each official property. Holiday Inn Indianapolis Downtown, 515 South West Street, lists 169 dollars for one person in one bed and 169 dollars for two people in one bed. Tru by Hilton Indianapolis Downtown, 601 Russel Avenue, lists 169 dollars on the same two columns.
Conrad Indianapolis, 50 West Washington Street, lists 300 dollars on those columns, the highest figure on the sheet. Two properties carry the Co-Leadership label. JW Marriott Indianapolis, 10 South West Street, lists 298 dollars. Westin Indianapolis, 241 West Washington Street, lists 278 dollars.
The sheet prices suites as a separate column. Hilton Indianapolis Hotel and Suites, 120 West Market Street, lists 199 dollars for the standard columns and 249 dollars for a one bedroom suite. Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Downtown Union Station, 123 West Louisiana Street, lists 270 dollars and 330 dollars.
The rates exist only inside the ASHA route
The hotels page states that the rates are available only through the ASHA hotel reservation service. It also names the channel. The ASHA Housing Center runs through Maritz, on ASHAHotel@maritz.com and 864-208-2571, weekdays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
The same page lists the booking terms. Walking distance or a free shuttle serves the convention center. Reservations carry no change fees and no prepayment on booking. Maritz representatives sit in advance and on site for a problem with a reservation. The sheet states that all rates include complimentary basic internet access for guests, and that the rates are per night and do not include applicable taxes.
ASHA publishes a warning about unauthorized housing providers. Companies contact exhibitors and attendees with a claim of lower rates inside the block. The page names Maritz Global Events as the official channel.
Read the tax line before you set the ceiling
The sheet excludes taxes and prints no rate for them. The Marion County innkeeper tax is 10 percent of the room charge and the Indiana sales tax is 7 percent, which gives 17 percent combined. The Indiana Department of Revenue publishes both rates. The booking site for a downtown Indianapolis property in another convention block lists state and local taxes at 17 percent per night.
The published 169 dollar rate is 197.73 dollars all-in. A room rate of 200 dollars is 234 dollars all-in. The published inclusion is complimentary basic internet access, so ask what else the property carries before you treat a rate as complete.
The 75 dollar cancellation fee and the 4 December deadline
ASHA publishes its own cancellation rules for registration. A non-waivable processing fee applies to every cancellation, at 75 dollars for in-person registration and 35 dollars for virtual-only registration. Every cancellation request goes in writing to asha@maritz.com. Phone cancellations are not accepted. Refund requests must be received by December 4, 2026.
Registration and the room sit on separate clocks. The policy page states that cancelling registration does not cancel the hotel reservation, and that cancelling the hotel reservation does not cancel registration.
Hotel policy belongs to each property. ASHA states that it cannot waive hotel penalties, and that the property sets the fee, the timeline and the options. The policy page carries one instruction worth using. Contact the hotel directly for a reservation change, and identify the reservation as part of the ASHA Convention room block. The page states that this may enable additional flexibility on a case-by-case basis.
The 100 dollar day is the one-day alternative
The registration fees page lists exhibit hall-only passes. The pass is a one-day pass for members and related professionals who want to browse the exhibit hall and do not want to attend education sessions. It costs 100 dollars, sells online beginning November 1, and sells on site during the convention.
That pass converts a three-night stay into a one-day trip for a delegate who needs the exhibit hall and nothing else. Price the room against the pass before you commit to the full stay.
The 4,700 skywalk rooms are the inventory you price against
The venue publishes its own city figures on the ASHA event page. Downtown Indianapolis holds 7,100 hotel rooms. Of those, 4,700 rooms connect to the Indiana Convention Center by skywalk. Two hundred downtown restaurants sit within walking distance. The airport sits 15 minutes away.
A delegate who books inside the ASHA route holds a published rate and the booking terms that come with it. A delegate who prices the same nights outside the route keeps the same tax bill and gives up the protection on the rate. Price the tax line on both, because the tax sits on the room charge either way.
Set the walk-away number
Set the ceiling on the all-in figure, then divide by 1.17 to strip the tax and reach a room rate. An all-in 200 dollars a night needs a room rate of 170.94 dollars. An all-in 210 dollars needs 179.49 dollars. An all-in 220 dollars needs 188.03 dollars.
Compare that room rate against the sheet. The sheet floor is 169 dollars. No source on this row publishes a direct-booking rate at any property on the sheet, so the tax line and the inclusion list are the two items to price against the published figure.
