Calle Ocho Music Festival runs on Sunday, March 14, 2027, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The route covers 15 street blocks of Little Havana between SW 12th and 27th Avenue. Admission is free. The Kiwanis Club of Little Havana stages the festival, and the proceeds fund the youth development programs of the Kiwanis of Little Havana Foundation.
The organiser bills Calle Ocho as "the largest Latin music festival in the nation." Carnaval Miami, the series that contains it, reports an average of one million attendees each year across its events and an economic impact of $40 million for local artists, vendors and small businesses.
Three calendar anchors for the request
The first anchor is the weekday. March 14, 2027 falls on a Sunday. A single-day Sunday festival concentrates lodging demand on Saturday night and Sunday night, and a request that names both nights gives a property the chance to price the pair.
The second anchor is the weekend before. Carnaval on the Mile runs Saturday and Sunday, March 6-7, 2027, on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables, as the 28th edition of that festival, with free entrance. Two festival weekends sit inside nine days. Send the March 13-14 request on its own dates, and read each counter against those dates only.
The third anchor is the closing hour. The festival ends at 7 p.m. A guest who wants the 11 a.m. opening on Sunday needs the room on Saturday. A guest who wants the closing stages on Sunday needs the room until Sunday evening, which turns checkout time into a term worth fixing.
The VIP window sets the room requirement
The VIP Access page publishes hours of 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., a registration window of 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., and a last call at 4 p.m. Registration happens at the Kiwanis Registration Tent on the Miami Dade College surface parking lot at 2501 SW 6th Street, at 6th Street and 27th Avenue. The pass includes food and drink samples from Little Havana restaurants, stage access, private transportation across the 15 blocks, lounge access, a commemorative lanyard and reserved parking. Drink sample wristbands carry a 21-and-over restriction.
Read the clock against the room. A VIP guest must reach the tent between 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday, and the pass runs until 7 p.m. That guest arrives Saturday and holds the room through Sunday night, or arrives Sunday morning and needs an early check-in.
The 2027 Passport is not on sale. The page prints "COMING SOON" for the 2027 ticket and publishes no price. A guest who books the room ahead of the pass carries the risk of a pass that sells out, so the room terms need a cancellation clause that costs nothing.
Florida sits inside the restriction
hotelhaggle publishes one restriction notice on its Seller of Travel page: "At this time, we are unable to process hotel booking requests from residents of or for travel to the following states: Florida (FL), Hawaii (HI), Iowa (IA), Washington (WA)." The same page states that the restriction applies across grouprooms.org, hotelhaggle.org, hotelslots.org, bookmyteam.org and partners.hotelhuddle.com.
The home page FAQ names the same four states: "A few states (FL, HI, IA, WA) restrict name-your-price bookings under state travel laws."
A Miami stay falls inside that notice on both readings. The route that remains is a direct request to the property, sent with the terms in writing.
What goes in the request
Name the two nights by date: Saturday, March 13, 2027 and Sunday, March 14, 2027. Name Little Havana and the SW 12th to 27th Avenue corridor. A property on the corridor puts the guest at the route on foot. A property in Brickell or downtown Miami puts the guest in a car for the 15 blocks.
Ask for four terms in the same request. Ask for a 2 p.m. checkout on Sunday at no charge. Ask whether self-parking is included and at what nightly figure. Ask for the nightly rate with every destination or resort fee itemised. Ask for cancellation at no penalty until the 2027 VIP Passport goes on sale.
Two comparisons decide the counter. Ask for the two nights as one request and then for each night separately, and compare the pair total against the two single-night totals. Then ask what the Sunday night costs alone, because a guest who books Saturday only leaves a room empty on the night the festival closes.
What the promoter leaves unpublished
No page on carnavalmiami.com read for this piece publishes a per-night hotel rate for March 13-14, 2027, and none names a hotel partner or a block code. The leverage in the request comes from the calendar, the closing hour and the concession list.
The reserved parking benefit is the Miami Dade College surface lot at 2620 SW 5th Street, Miami 33135. Put both addresses in the request, because the tent closes registration at 4 p.m.
