What the Organiser Publishes
The Fertilizer Show runs 18 and 19 November 2026 in West Hall at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 South Franklin Street. Admission is free. The organiser calls it the only free-to-attend event in the United States that brings the whole fertilizer production supply chain together. Two conference tracks run on the show floor. A delegate pays for travel and for the room.
The accommodation page names one property. Hyatt Place Tampa Downtown holds the headquarters designation at $209 per night plus applicable taxes. The organiser puts the walk to the hall at 12 minutes. Group Code G-DFE1 works over the phone at +1 813-616-1234, and the page carries a booking link that hands the same code to the property site.
The Cutoff Is 2 November
Reservations must be made no later than 2 November 2026. That date falls 16 days before the hall opens. The page prints the date and stops there. Nothing on the accommodation page states what the property does with unsold block rooms after 2 November. Nothing states whether the $209 survives the deadline.
A published cutoff gives a buyer one move. Before the date, the organiser holds the rate and the property fields the call. Ask for two things in one email: the $209 for the nights you want, and the rate the property will charge for those nights if the booking lands after 2 November. Put both in writing.
Two Properties Moved Into One
The previous headquarters hotel was the Hotel Tampa Riverwalk. The accommodation page states that the property will be under renovation in November. Reservations already made there move to the Hyatt Place Tampa Downtown automatically, and the Riverwalk sends the guest an email with the next steps.
The disclosure has two consequences. A property at 200 North Ashley Drive leaves the market for these two days. The venue places it 0.8 miles from the hall. Its transferred rooms land inside the block a direct buyer competes against, so headquarters inventory carries a second source of demand across the show dates.
The Walk, Counted Twice
The venue publishes its own distance table. Hyatt Place/Hyatt House at 325 North Florida Avenue sits 0.5 miles from the convention center, and the venue prints (813) 616-1234 beside it, the same number the organiser gives. The organiser counts 12 minutes on foot. The venue counts half a mile.
The same table ranks the alternatives by distance. Tampa Marriott Water Street and JW Marriott Tampa Water Street sit 0.2 miles out. The Westin Tampa Waterside sits at 0.3. Twelve properties carry a stated distance under one mile. Four addresses sit closer than the headquarters hotel, and each one books without a group code.
Parking at the Garage
Parking at the convention center garage, 141 East Brorein Street, runs $5.00 to $50.00 at the event rate. The garage holds 454 spaces and publishes no long-term parking. Outside event hours the ladder reads $3 per hour with an $18 daily maximum. The Front Drive lot carries 36 metered spaces at $4 an hour and allows no overnight parking.
Two show days at the top of the event band reach $100. At the bottom they reach $10. A guest at the headquarters hotel walks the half mile and pays neither figure. That saving belongs in the same conversation as the room rate.
The Show Clock Sets the Night Count
Wednesday 18 November runs the exhibit hall 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the conference 9:25 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and a networking reception from 4:30 to 5:30. Thursday 19 November closes earlier: exhibit hall 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., conference 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
One night covers both days, because the Thursday session ends at 3:00 p.m. and the airport run fits inside the afternoon. A second night buys a Friday departure. At $209 the two-night subtotal is $418 before taxes. The tax rate for that property is not published on the accommodation page.
The Booking Link Returns an Error
The booking link points at the property group-booking route for code G-DFE1. It returned a page reading ERROR:E6020 on a check at this desk on 20 October. A second group code at the same property returned the same page, which places the fault on the portal. The phone route at +1 813-616-1234 is the one that takes a reservation. No statement about inventory can come from a page that fails to load.
Where the Ask Goes
Florida restricts name-your-price bookings under state travel law. hotelhaggle lists the four states: FL, HI, IA and WA. A Tampa stay routes through the request-for-proposal side of the family, where one request reaches 50+ hotels and each property answers with a rate.
Build the request around the four numbers this page publishes. Two nights, 18 and 19 November. A half mile walk. A cutoff of 2 November. A headquarters rate of $209 plus tax. Ask every property inside a mile for a cancellable rate against the block. Ask the headquarters hotel to hold the code rate past the deadline in writing.
