The gala ladder
FOG Design+Art opens Thursday, January 21, 2027 and closes Sunday, January 24, 2027 at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. The fair occupies Pier 2 and Pier 3. The Preview Gala runs Wednesday, January 20, 2027 from 4 to 10 p.m. with tiered entry.
A Supporter ticket costs $300 per person. It carries one ticket to the Preview Gala with entry from 7 to 10 p.m. and a complimentary shuttle, and the tax-deductible contribution is $225 per ticket.
The Bronze Circle Package costs $1,200 for two tickets with entry at 6 p.m., recognition in event materials and complimentary valet parking, with a tax-deductible contribution of $1,000. Silver costs $3,000 for two tickets with entry at 5 p.m. Gold costs $6,000 for four tickets with entry at 4:30 p.m. Platinum costs $12,000 for six tickets with entry at 4 p.m. Titanium costs $25,000 for ten tickets with entry at 4 p.m.
The deductible share steps with the price. Silver carries $2,800, Gold $5,600, Platinum $11,400 and Titanium $24,000. Every Preview Gala guest must be 21 or older.
What the money buys on the fair floor
Guests at Bronze level and above receive multiday access to the fair. Supporter tickets carry single-day access.
Every gala guest receives fair admission with access to talks and programs, the evening's entertainment, cocktails and culinary creations, and an exclusive buying opportunity before the fair opens to the public. The organiser adds one qualifier to the list. Benefits are subject to change.
The two sentences that close the door
All sales are final, and tickets are nonrefundable.
A second condition sits beneath it. Donor Advised Funds cannot pay any portion of a ticket or a table at a special event where the full price is not tax deductible, and the full value must be purchased with personal funds.
No step on the ladder carries a refund. A guest who wants flexible terms has to source them from the hotel.
The gala desk answers at fogpreviewgala@sfmoma.org or 415.618.3263.
The fair clock the ticket page still prints
The fair ticket page still carries the 2026 record. It reads Thursday, January 22 to Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture, Piers 2 and 3. On that record a single-day ticket cost $35 in advance and $40 after January 21, 2026, plus fees, and a four-day pass cost $95 in advance and $100 after January 21, 2026, plus fees.
The same page carries the prior gala line. Supporter-level tickets start at $250, and the Bronze to Titanium packages run from $1,000 to $20,000. The current gala page prices the ladder from $300 to $25,000.
No price is published for a 2027 fair ticket. The page states that tickets go on sale in mid-November. Children 12 and under enter free, and a $5 student rate applies to single-day admission in person with a valid student ID.
Self-guided tour packages run for up to 20 guests on the Thursday and the Friday of the fair only, and they need advance organisation and fair approval.
The Wednesday night carries the room ask
The gala falls on Wednesday, January 20, 2027, and the fair closes on Sunday. A guest who stays the Wednesday night books a shoulder night.
The ask pairs a rate with a term. Offer a hotel a confirmed gala-night or fair-week booking, and ask in return for the flexible cancellation term the ticket ladder does not sell.
One request reaches 50 or more hotels, and responses arrive in 24 to 72 hours. No offer has to be accepted.
Venue parking is a paid cost and it does not cover the night. Fort Mason Center charges event day rates from $6 for the first hour to $30 beyond four hours, in effect from 7 a.m. to midnight daily, and overnight parking is not permitted on the campus.
Reaching Pier 3
Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture sits at 2 Marina Blvd in San Francisco, and the main campus entrance is off Marina Blvd at Buchanan Street. MUNI lines 28, 30, 30X, 43 and 49 serve the campus. Golden Gate Transit stops at the intersection of Lombard and Fillmore Streets.
The gap the fair publishes
No page on the fair's site publishes a hotel partner, a room block, a group code or a nightly rate. A Wednesday night in January carries no rate from the fair and no flexible term on the ticket ladder, so a guest books a room on terms the fair never sees.
