Ten dollars is the first number to move

Fair Park lists the Texas Bridal & Wedding Expo for December 6, 2026 with the line “Free Passes or $10 at the Door.” The organiser, American Consumer Shows, prints the same offer on its pass page: admission is free with online registration or $10 at the door.

The pass covers the party. The form states that it is valid for one bride or partner and all of their guests, so one registration admits the group and the $10 applies to an adult who arrives without a pass. Children under 16 enter free.

Claim the pass before the drive. The $10 stays in the trip budget for the room, where the larger number sits.

Five hours, one hall

The show runs 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 6, 2026. The organiser places it in Centennial Hall at 3929 Grand Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75210. The venue listing gives a 12:00 PM start and marks the event On Sale Now. Fair Park's events calendar lists it for the same day.

Five hours is a short window for a wedding. A couple who walks the floor twice will want a table, a drink and a place to compare notes. A room nearby turns the afternoon into an evening. That is one night, and the Sunday night is the one to price first.

Seventeen names, fifteen buildings

Fair Park publishes a Where to Stay page that promises lodging within 3 miles of the park. It names 17 properties with street addresses. Count the addresses and the number drops to 15, because two pairs share a building. AC Hotel and Residence Inn both sit at 1712 Commerce Street. Fairfield Inn & Suites and TownePlace Suites both sit at 555 Evergreen Street.

Seventeen names give a buyer somewhere else to take the request. The two brands inside a shared address also sell different room types at different desk rates, so a quote from one is a working reference against the other on the same afternoon.

Element at 4005 Gaston Avenue and Home2 Suites at 3301 Gaston Avenue sit 1.15 and 1.22 miles on a straight line from Centennial Hall. The Kimpton Pittman Hotel at 2551 Elm Street sits 1.41 miles out. No property on the list publishes a rate on the Fair Park page.

What the park publishes about parking

Fair Park counts more than 14,000 parking spaces inside the park. It bars overnight parking and states that a vehicle left overnight is subject to towing at the owner's expense. General parking is free on a non-event day. Event fees vary by event, and no figure is printed for this one. Large vehicles have no designated area.

A guest who stays past the close books the room that night and parks in the hotel lot.

The ask to make before the show

Open with a Sunday-night request: check in December 6, check out December 7, one night, with late checkout written into the rate. The show ends at 5 p.m. and a midday checkout puts the departure inside the show.

Second question: what the property charges a walk-in at 5 p.m. that day. The desk quotes that rate without a booking, and it gives the held rate a second number to sit against.

What to say when the desk says no

Three counter-moves, in order. Ask for the same room without breakfast and price the breakfast separately. Ask for the night priced on its own. Then ask the sibling brand at the same street address, because the two desks at 1712 Commerce Street and at 555 Evergreen Street answer to different revenue managers.

For a wedding party with rooms to fill, change the instrument. hotelhaggle sends one request to 50+ hotels at no cost to submit and returns responses within 24 to 72 hours. The site's FAQ puts the room count at 10+ rooms a night for most hotels, with discounts from five rooms depending on season and availability. The platform covers 46 states. Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington restrict name-your-price bookings under state travel laws, and Texas sits outside that group.

What the $10 does

The door price is $10 an adult and one pass admits the party. Every property on the Fair Park list publishes no rate, and the park publishes no event parking figure, so the first real room number in this trip comes from a response. Ask three properties, compare the one-night total with tax, and put the pass saving toward the night itself.
