Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2026 runs Friday, October 2 to Sunday, October 4 in Golden Gate Park. The organiser prints a housing route, a gate clock and a transit plan. Those three are the inputs a buyer carries into a one-night request.
The Organiser Prints One Housing Line
The festival FAQ carries one item on lodging. It directs visitors to the Chamber of Commerce, to a travel site, or to the San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau. The page gives the visitor site at www.sfvisitor.org and the Visitor Information Center line at 415-391-2000, with a toll-free number at 888-782-9673, printed as STAY-N-SF.
That bureau line is the housing route the festival publishes, and its two phone numbers are the figures attached to it. A request that follows the route reaches the property, so the rate and the cancellation term come back from the property in writing.
Golden Gate Park does not allow camping. The page points campers to Rob Hill Campground in the Presidio and to an RV park by Candlestick.
The Gates Open On A Clock
Entrances open at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 2 and at 9 a.m. on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4, 2026. Performances end at 7 p.m. each day. The festival runs across Hellman Hollow, Lindley and Marx meadows in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco.
Admission is free, and no ticket exists for any of the three days.
Waste management sweeps the park each evening, and the page states the sweep rules out saving spaces for the following day. A guest who returns on the Saturday or the Sunday books a night or travels home.
Price the night against the published window, which runs from a gate opening to a 7 p.m. finish on three consecutive days.
Extra Muni Service Runs All Three Days
Muni adds service on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at regular fares. The north side of the park runs on the 5 Fulton, the 5R Fulton Rapid, the 31 Balboa, the 38 Geary and the 38R Geary Rapid buses. The south side runs on the N Judah train and the 7 Haight/Noriega bus. The 29 Sunset crosses the park on Crossover Drive.
Four entrances sit on the park edge: JFK Drive and Transverse Drive, Fulton Street and 30th Avenue, JFK Drive and 36th Avenue, and the South Polo Field at Middle Drive and Metson Road.
Taxi stands sit on Fulton from 22nd to 24th. Ride-share pins sit around Washington High School on 30th Avenue between Anza and Balboa, and on Balboa between 30th and 31st. Pick-ups run on Irving between 25th and 27th Avenue. The page states the apps release pins only inside the designated pick-up area.
Street parking is extremely limited, and the page says so in capitals. Paid parking returns on the Saturday and the Sunday at a few lots run by local parent-teacher associations and sold first come, first served. Last year's lots were George Washington High School at 600 32nd Avenue, Argonne at 680 18th Avenue, Lawton Alternative School at 1570 31st Avenue, Lafayette Elementary at 4545 Anza Street and the SFUSD Admin Campus at 750 25th Avenue.
The park closes road segments for the day. The published list covers JFK Drive between Transverse Drive and Bernice Rogers Drive, 36th Avenue between Fulton and JFK Drive, 30th Avenue between Fulton and JFK Drive, Transverse Drive between Crossover Drive and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Overlook Drive, Middle Drive West, Metson Drive, the parking area at the Polo Fields, and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive westbound between 25th Avenue and Chain of Lakes.
What The Buyer Asks For
Submit one request for one night. The platform sends that request to 50 or more hotels and returns responses inside 24 to 72 hours. Submission is free and carries no obligation.
Check the night against the published band. The negotiation guide prices Sunday to Thursday nights 20 to 30 percent below peak nights. Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 3 fall outside that band, and Sunday, October 4 sits inside it.
Ask for the terms beside the rate. The guide names complimentary breakfast, waived resort fees, free parking, suite upgrades and flexible cancellation as the concessions worth writing into a request. A buyer can end the process at any point, and the guide states that hotels often come back with improved offers when they see they are losing the business.
The Figures To Carry In
The dates are Friday, October 2 to Sunday, October 4, 2026. The gates open at 11 a.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, with a 7 p.m. daily finish. Admission costs nothing. The transit set runs five north-side bus lines, one rail line and two cross-park routes, with extra service on all three days. The housing route is one bureau line at 415-391-2000, with the toll-free number 888-782-9673.
The Rate Comes From The Property
The festival publishes no nightly rate for October 2, 3 or 4, 2026, and the two phone numbers above are the only figures attached to its housing line. A guest who wants a benchmark builds one from the dates, the gate hours and the transit plan. Carry the night, the band and the cancellation term into a single request, and ask for the term in writing.
