What Leverage Remains When the Organiser Holds No Portland Room Rates

The organiser has closed the block and named seven properties

The LEARN Conference housing page states the position. Hotel blocks are no longer available. The seven properties listed there sit outside an official room block, and ZERO TO THREE holds no reserved rooms and no negotiated rates at them.

The same page warns that third-party companies are contacting attendees with hotel offers and are not affiliated with ZERO TO THREE. It directs attendees to the official conference hotel information, or to the hotel directly.

Name the property, call the number on the conference page, and get the rate in writing.

The FAQ carries an older answer

The conference FAQ answers the accommodation question from an earlier date. All costs for transportation and accommodations are the responsibility of the attendee. Discounted hotel rates are available on a first-come, first-served basis for registered attendees. Hotel blocks will be shared as soon as they become available.

Both pages were live on October 18, 2026. Print the housing page, and ask the property to confirm its rate against the conference dates in writing.

Three days, 7 am starts, and a 5 pm close

The organiser prints October 27 to 29, 2026 at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The venue calendar prints October 28 to 29 in Hall A.

Tuesday October 27 carries registration from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm, closed from 11 am to 3 pm. Forums run 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, the HealthySteps Symposium runs 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and the reception runs 5:30 to 7:00 pm.

Wednesday opens with a 7:00 am stretch session, coffee at 7:30 am and the plenary at 9:00 am. Thursday repeats the 7:00 am start and closes with the keynote from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. The conference adjourns at 5:00 pm Thursday.

The 2,500 cap and the price step on October 26

Space is limited to 2,500.

Standard pricing runs through October 26 at $550 for members and $650 for non-members. Onsite pricing starts October 27 at $580 and $680. The step is $30 in both columns.

Groups of five or more receive $50 off each registration, so five members come to $2,500 and five non-members to $3,000. A pre-conference forum costs $245, putting a member with one forum at $795.

Night counts the schedule produces

A Monday October 26 arrival with a Friday October 30 checkout gives four nights and covers the full Tuesday programme. A Tuesday arrival with a Friday checkout gives three nights and covers Wednesday and Thursday.

A Tuesday arrival with a Thursday checkout gives two nights and loses the Thursday plenary, the afternoon blocks and the keynote. A Monday arrival with a Thursday checkout gives three nights and ends at the adjournment.

Ask for a 6:00 pm Thursday checkout, or a guaranteed bag hold.

Seven properties, three inside a walk

Courtyard by Marriott Portland Downtown/Convention Center, 435 NE Wasco St, 0.3 miles, 7-minute walk, (503) 234-3200. Crowne Plaza Portland-Downtown Convention Center, 1441 NE 2nd Ave, 0.4 miles, 9-minute walk, (503) 233-2401. Jupiter NEXT, 900 E Burnside St, 0.6 miles, 12-minute walk, (503) 230-9200.

The organiser prints the same phone number beside the Courtyard and the Crowne Plaza, so confirm which property answers before you quote a rate.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Downtown, 319 SW Pine St, 1.1 miles, 6-minute drive or 10-minute MAX ride. Kimpton Hotel Vintage Portland, 422 SW Broadway, 1.3 miles, 8-minute drive or 12-minute MAX ride. Hampton Inn & Suites Portland-Pearl District, 354 NW 9th Ave, 1.3 miles, 8-minute drive. Moxy Portland Downtown, 585 SW 10th Ave, 1.5 miles, 9-minute drive or 13-minute MAX ride.

No rate, room type, cutoff or inclusion list appears beside any of the seven.

The garage opens at 6 am and holds no car overnight

The garage holds 800 spaces on two levels, with 7-foot clearance on P1 and 9-foot on P2. Entry runs to 18 hours at $15, with no in and out privileges. During events a dynamic rate of $15 to $25 is charged at entry, so three days land between $45 and $75.

It opens at 6:00 am. Overnight parking is prohibited and availability is first-come.

MAX charges $2.80 for a single fare that holds for 2.5 hours across all systems. The Red, Blue and Green lines reach downtown in roughly 10 minutes.

The registration term carries the room risk

The FAQ sets a $75.00 transaction fee on all cancellations and processes refunds within 60 days. No refund requests are processed after September 15, 2026, 33 days before this writing. Registrations may be transferred to another person at any time with a transfer notice by email.

A buyer who may not travel transfers the registration, provided the property accepts a name change on the reservation.

What to ask, in order

First, the nightly rate for the named nights, with state and local tax and every mandatory fee itemised by name and amount. Second, a 6:00 pm checkout on Thursday October 29, or a bag hold. Third, parking inside the rate, or the garage figure on the confirmation. Fourth, cancellation to 72 hours before arrival. Fifth, a name change at no charge.

A block request goes in as a single room request, and hotels counter inside the 24 to 72 hour window. Groups of five or more registrations carry $50 off each seat.

The brand mechanic on a served state

hotelhaggle covers 46 states and 103,857 hotels, and Oregon is inside the served territory. Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington sit outside the service.

A request carries the dates and a price per night. Hotels accept, counter or decline within 24 to 72 hours. Submission is free, and a buyer is never required to book. The published saving range is 15 to 40 percent.

Three midweek nights against a 2,500-seat cap set the terms of the request.
