One Saturday, Two Halls, One Gate
India Festival runs October 31, 2026 from 9:00am to 10:00pm inside the Expo Hall and the Entertainment Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 US Hwy 301 North, Tampa, FL 33610. Both halls sit at the US Hwy 301 Entrance, Gate 1. The venue page puts the day at 85+ dance teams and 200+ exhibitors across fashion, jewelry, art, crafts and food, and calls it the largest celebration of Indian culture in Florida. The organiser is the Gujarati Samaj of Tampa Bay.
October 31, 2026 is a Saturday. The 9:00am door and the 10:00pm close give a group one night of the weekend to buy, and the room request carries the whole of it.
Seven Partner Properties, Measured in Miles
The fairgrounds publishes a partner list with a Distance field on every entry. From the grounds, the published distances are:
- Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tampa Fairgrounds Casino, 0.2 miles, described as directly across the street from the fairgrounds.
- Wyndham Garden Tampa Fairgrounds/Casino, 1.5 miles.
- Staybridge Suites Tampa-Brandon, 2.7 miles.
- Hilton Garden Inn Tampa-East/Brandon, 2.8 miles.
- Courtyard Tampa-Brandon, 4.4 miles.
- Cambria Hotel Tampa-Brandon, 5 miles.
- Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa East, Casino Area, 5.0 miles.
That set fills one written request. The same page carries no nightly rate, no room block and no cut-off date for the festival. Two entries contradict their own Distance field in prose: Wyndham Garden reads just one mile from the fairgrounds against a printed 1.5, and Hilton Garden Inn reads less than 2 miles against a printed 2.8. Use the field, because the venue maintains that number.
The Two Asks the Clock Supports
The first ask is a ride to Gate 1. The festival parking product sells as One Time Entry Only for $15.00. One entry per parking purchase leaves a guest who drives out mid-day without a second entry. A property shuttle to the Gate 1 drop-off removes the $15.00 and the re-entry problem, and it is a concession a property can grant without touching its room rate.
The second ask is the night count, and it needs the arithmetic done before you send it. A 10:00pm close on Saturday puts the departure on Sunday November 1. Friday October 30 arrival with Sunday November 1 departure is two nights, and it covers the 9:00am Saturday start without a pre-dawn drive. A late Sunday checkout adds nothing for a group that leaves Sunday morning. It adds a rest day only for a group holding the Sunday night, which makes Friday to Monday the structure where a late checkout changes the last day.
What the Two Price Surfaces Say
The venue event page lists admission at $10 online and $15 at the gate, with parking at $10 online and $12 onsite. The ticket portal prices the same day differently. It sells Advance Purchase at $11.50, states that gate pricing is $15.00 and that advance purchase saves $3.50, and sells the India Fest Guest Parking October 2026 product at $15.00 for one time entry only. It also states that ages 3 and up require a ticket and that children under 3 attend free.
The two surfaces disagree by $1.50 on advance admission and by $3.00 on parking. Treat the portal as the checkout, since the transaction completes there, and budget that advance price for every ticket in the group.
Requesting the Block From Florida
hotelhaggle.org cannot take this request. The platform seller-of-travel page, last updated October 21, 2026, states that it cannot process hotel booking requests from residents of or for travel to Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington, and that the restriction applies across grouprooms.org, hotelhaggle.org, hotelslots.org, bookmyteam.org and partners.hotelhuddle.com. It records the Florida status as not currently registered as a Florida Seller of Travel, and cites Chapter 559, Florida Statutes as the reason. Questions on the restriction go to compliance@hotelhuddle.com.
One route serves a Tampa group: the property sales office, direct. Ask for the group sales contact and put the request in writing to that address. The distance list makes the calls efficient, because the two nearest entries sit at 0.2 and 1.5 miles.
What to Put in the Written Request
Name the event and the gate so the property prices the stay against the right calendar. The date is Saturday October 31, 2026, the hours are 9:00am to 10:00pm, and the entrance is US Hwy 301 Gate 1. Then name Friday October 30 arrival and Sunday November 1 departure as the base stay, with the Sunday night stated separately as an option.
Ask for two things in the same message. First, a shuttle or a stated drop-off arrangement at the Gate 1 entrance on the event day, referenced against the $15.00 one time entry parking product. Second, a stated check-in time for Friday and a stated checkout time for whichever departure date the group holds. Then offer the trade: the second night, a named room count, and a decision date on the hold.
Camping is the third option and the page prices nothing for it. Event camping is open for all fairgrounds and area events with the exception of the annual Florida State Fair, and reservations require a minimum of 48 hours notice. A group comparing a campsite against a room asks for that figure the same way it asks for the room.
The three items above are what the buyer brings to the call: seven partner properties inside five miles, one thirteen-hour Saturday, and a parking product that permits a single entry. Each one is askable in writing before the group commits a room count.
