The number that is already printed
Miami Book Fair runs eight days, from Sunday November 15 to Sunday November 22, 2026. The closing weekend is the Street Fair, Friday November 20 to Sunday November 22. The campus is Miami Dade College Wolfson at 300 NE Second Ave, Miami, FL 33132.
Admission is published in full. A buyer who knows the ticket cost to the dollar can spend the whole conversation on the room, the checkout hour and the breakfast.
The ladder as published
Single day tickets run 12 dollars for an adult, 7 dollars for a senior over 62, and 5 dollars for a teen aged 13 to 18. Multiday tickets run 18 dollars for an adult, 12 dollars for a senior and 8 dollars for a teen. Kids 12 and under enter free. Miami Dade College students, faculty and staff enter free with a valid MDC ID.
The multiday ticket is the cheaper shape for a two-day visit. An adult pays 18 dollars where two single days cost 24, a senior 12 where two cost 14, a teen 8 where two cost 10. Ask for it by name.
Friday November 20 is free for everyone, opening at 10 a.m. and closing at 7 p.m. Saturday November 21 runs 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday November 22 runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Gates open at 9 a.m. each day.
Friday is free, so arrive before it
A Thursday November 19 arrival puts a guest on campus for the free Friday and both paid days, and it catches the 8 p.m. Colson Whitehead session that night at 35 dollars.
Evening sessions start between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. across the week, with 20, 25, 30, 35 and 45 dollar rungs on the programme listing. The Fair's FAQ states that a handful of weekend author sessions also carry a cost.
The 7 p.m. close is the ask
Friday and Saturday close at 7 p.m. A guest who stays the Saturday night wants a checkout after the Sunday 9 a.m. gate and before the 6 p.m. close. Ask for 2 p.m. on Sunday and 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Quote the closing times when you ask, and put the checkout hour in the confirmation.
Parking is free, so take it out of the rate
The Fair publishes free parking at the MDC Wolfson Campus Parking Garage for the eight days of the festival, Sunday November 15 to Sunday November 22. The garage is at 500 NE Second Ave, with the entrance on NE Fifth Street between First and Second avenues. The Fair states there is a one-block walk between the garage and the closest Fair entrance.
That sentence removes parking from the negotiation. A rate that bundles garage access has nothing to bundle here. Ask for breakfast, a waived resort fee or a flexible cancellation term instead, and give the reason: the campus garage is free across the whole run.
Paid alternatives run through the Miami Parking Authority at College Station, 190 NE Third St, and the Convention Center garage at 100 SE Second St.
The Fair closes streets around the campus and tells drivers to map with 145 NE Fifth Street. Send that address to the property with the arrival time.
No room block is published
No page on the book fair site carries a hotel partner, a room block, a group code or a nightly rate. The overview, the street fair page, the FAQ and the fair guide return no lodging content. That absence is the opening: there is no contracted rate to beat and no cut-off to race.
Three downtown properties and their straight-line distance from the campus, on OpenStreetMap coordinates read on 18 October 2026: Yotel Miami at 227 NE Second Street, 238 m. Miami Sun Hotel at 226 NE First Avenue, 254 m. The Gabriel Miami Downtown at 1100 Biscayne Boulevard, 745 m.
Night counts the calendar gives
The Street Fair weekend is a two-night stay, Friday November 20 to Sunday November 22. A third night to Monday November 23 covers the Sunday evening and avoids a noon checkout on the final day. The full run is eight nights, Sunday November 15 to Monday November 23.
Send the weekend and the full run as two separate requests.
Two published lines that disagree
The site carries a promotional line that reads the Street Fair is free to walk in. The street fair page and the FAQ publish a paid ladder for the same three days, with Friday as the one free day. Write the ladder, and ask the ticket desk which line governs a Saturday walk-up.
The Fair Guide page still offers the 2025 guide and the 2025 weekend author grids, with no 2026 file posted, so ask for the 2026 grid in writing.
The Florida route
The hotelhaggle home page reads that a few states, FL, HI, IA and WA, restrict name-your-price bookings under state travel laws. The seller-of-travel page lists the same four states and gives the reason: those states require travel seller registration and a surety bond or trust account.
For Miami, send the request through the group and request-for-proposal route the home page links for bookings of 10 or more rooms, and confirm the route in writing with support@hotelhuddle.com. No page on the site states that a Florida name-your-price submission will be accepted.
What to send the property
Send one message per hotel: date in, date out, room count, two concessions and a ceiling. Quote the 7 p.m. close and the free garage in the same message. Ask for the cancellation term in writing.
