The Block Holds Nine Properties
The CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon runs Saturday, November 7, 2026. Beyond Monumental runs a guest room block through the Visit Indy Housing Bureau. The block lists nine downtown properties. Hilton Indianapolis Hotel & Suites at 120 West Market Street is the closest at 0.24 miles, or 379 metres on the block's own walking distance. Staybridge Suites Indianapolis Downtown Convention Center at 535 South West Street is the farthest at 1.14 miles, or 1,310 metres.
The Expo Sets The Arrival Night
Packet pickup and the Monumental Health & Fitness Expo run Thursday, November 5 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Friday, November 6 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Indiana Convention Center. The clear gear check bag comes from the expo. The organiser states there is no pickup on race morning.
Race morning starts at 6:30 a.m. with gear check at Washington and West Streets. The half marathon and the full marathon start at 8 a.m. The 5K starts at 8:40 a.m. The course closes at 3:30 p.m.
Friday to Sunday is two nights. A Thursday arrival adds a third. All nine properties hold an inventory window of November 5 to November 9.
The Tax Line Reads The Same At All Nine
Every property states that the room rate excludes 17 percent tax. CozySuites Block 20 splits the figure into a 7 percent state tax and a 10 percent city tax.
The district fee is the second line. Crowne Plaza, Hilton and Omni Severin print the fee at 1.17 dollars. Hyatt Place states a 1 dollar Economic Enhancement District fee that is also taxable. Five properties publish no district fee line.
The Access Date Splits The Block
The event record closes the block on October 22 at all nine properties. Each property also publishes its own access date. Hilton closes on Tuesday, October 6. Crowne Plaza and Hampton Inn close on Wednesday, October 7. Holiday Inn Express and Staybridge Suites close on Thursday, October 8. Hyatt Place and Omni Severin close on Friday, October 9. TownePlace Suites closes on Saturday, October 17. CozySuites Block 20 closes on Friday, October 23.
The organiser dates the window for new reservations and added nights October 5 to October 16. That date varies by hotel and stays subject to availability. New reservations online close on October 16.
The Cancellation Window Splits Three Ways
Hyatt Place Indianapolis Downtown carries a 24 hour cancellation. Crowne Plaza, Hampton Inn and TownePlace Suites carry 48 hours. Holiday Inn Express, Omni Severin and Staybridge Suites carry 72 hours.
Two properties sit outside those windows. Hilton requires an advanced deposit of one night room and tax from October 6, refundable when the reservation is cancelled 48 hours before arrival. CozySuites requires full payment from October 23, refundable when the reservation is cancelled nine days before arrival, with a one night penalty after that date. Crowne Plaza and Omni Severin add an early departure fee.
Two Bureau Deadlines And The 25 Dollar Fee
Cancellation without penalty runs through Thursday, October 8. The Housing Bureau charges 25 dollars for each reservation cancelled after that date. Occupant names must be assigned to rooms held under one name by Tuesday, September 29.
Modifications through the bureau close on Thursday, October 22. The hotel charges a cancellation or a no-show after that date.
Two Properties Require Friday And Saturday
CozySuites Block 20 and TownePlace Suites Indianapolis Downtown both require a two night minimum covering Friday and Saturday. Both terms sit in the block listing. The other seven list no minimum stay.
Five properties publish an in-block extra. Crowne Plaza and Omni Severin add wifi. Hyatt Place adds breakfast and wifi. Hilton adds self-parking at 30 dollars per night and wifi. CozySuites adds one complimentary parking space per unit.
The Waitlist Runs By Telephone
The organiser routes the waitlist through the Housing Bureau at housing@visitindy.com or 317-262-8191. The bureau is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern. The bureau calls to confirm a preferred property when it opens for the requested dates.
The organiser adds a note to the block page. A result reading no availability may hold single nights or non sequential nights only. The note directs the guest to call the hotel directly.
The booking site limits a guest to five rooms under one name. A special request is shared with the hotel and is not guaranteed.
The Race Sold Out
General registration for the marathon, the half marathon and the 5K is sold out. The waitlist covers the full and the half distance. Charity entries remain open, with fundraising minimums set by each organisation.
Where The Leverage Sits
The block listing publishes no nightly rate. The comparison rests on the access date, the cancellation window, the minimum stay and the in-block extra.
Two moves follow. Start with the properties that close on October 6 and October 7, because those dates arrive first. Then ask the seven properties with no minimum stay for the Friday and Saturday nights that CozySuites and TownePlace require.
hotelhaggle sends one request to 50 or more hotels in a destination. Hotels answer with rates, terms and perks inside 24 to 72 hours. The guest pays the hotel direct, and the platform adds no markup to the rate. The platform's How It Works page publishes group rates 15 to 40 percent below rack rates. Its FAQ sets the group threshold at 10 or more rooms per night, with some hotels discounting from five rooms by season.
The block listing publishes no per night rate and no attrition floor for any of the nine properties. Price the all-in figure per room night. Confirm which taxes apply to the room rate and which apply to the fee. Indianapolis taxes the district fee, and three properties print it at 1.17 dollars.
