The Designation Is Published
The NCA Holiday Classic 2026 runs at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas in Exhibit Hall C and the C Ballroom on December 13, 2026. The venue page carries the date, the hall range, a status of On Sale Now and a start time of TBA.
Varsity lists the event as NCA - Holiday - Classic - DI/DII, Dallas TX, 12/13/2026 to 12/13/2026, as a 400 point event in The Varsity Cheer League. The same card carries the label Housing Designation and, beside it, the value Housing Rewards.
Two Date Records
The venue reads Dec 13, 2026. The housing partner’s directory lists the event as NCA - State of Texas - Regional & NCA - Holiday - Classic across 12/12/26 to 12/12/26 at the same convention center.
The partner’s booking portal resolves that record to Sat 12/12/2026 - Sun 12/13/2026. A group holding a room holds a stay that starts the Saturday and ends the Sunday, and the competition date is the Sunday.
What the Guarantee Covers
The housing partner publishes a Lowest Rate Guarantee and calls it available for some events. The comparison must be identical: the same room type with that room type guaranteed, the same dates the partner contracted, the same included amenities, and the same payment and cancellation terms. A non-refundable or pay-now rate fails the last test on its face.
Three further conditions decide most claims. Rates on an online travel agency fail, and the published list names Expedia, Travelocity, Hotels.com and Priceline alongside a note that flash sales on one or two rooms do not serve groups. Member rates such as AAA and AARP fail. Corporate negotiated, government, hotel employee and friends and family, and prepaid rates all fail. Booking fees sit outside the comparison, and a fee paid to the partner does not count toward the room rate.
Where the Guarantee Stops
The guarantee applies until the contracted cut-off date and stops there. The terms give the reason: once rooms are released and turned back to the hotel, the hotel can sell remaining inventory at lower rates the guarantee does not cover. The partner places that date at approximately one month before the event.
The exclusion to chase in writing is the Live label. Rates for events where the guarantee is not available or advertised are ineligible, and TTS Live events do not qualify because those rates are based on demand and subject to change. The partner site, the directory row and the organiser card state no Live status for this event.
The Exemption Form and the Missing Event
The partner runs an exemption form with a dated event list. On 22 October 2026 that list carried 45 events, and the Holiday Classic and the State of Texas regional sit outside it. The form’s own reasons read points covering the stay, a 75-mile residence, and a military or government discount.
What to Put in Writing
Ask the partner for the designation, the Live status of the event, and the cut-off of the property you intend to hold. Ask whether your rate sits inside the guarantee, and get the answer in writing before the card is charged.

Rooms, Parking and the Group Route
The venue publishes more than 35,000 hotel rooms in the city and 15,000 or more within walking distance of the building, with the 1,001 room Omni Dallas Hotel adjacent. The on-site garage charges $20 a day and Lot C charges $17, both run by ACE Parking, both first come first served, both per day per entry with no in and out.
