Two days, one gate, one address
The Tampa Oddities and Curiosities Expo runs November 21 and 22, 2026 at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. Hwy 301 N. The show takes Expo Hall and Entertainment Hall, and both sit behind the U.S. Hwy 301 entrance at Gate 1.
Both days run 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Four published prices frame the ask
Advanced general admission costs $15. Day-of general admission costs $20, and it becomes available at midnight on the first show day. Children 12 and under enter free and need no ticket. Parking costs $10 online and $12 onsite.
Two adults with advance tickets and a prepaid parking pass spend $40. The same pair buying at the gate spends $52. The $12 spread turns on when the purchase is made.
Parking is a separate product
The parking portal lists Oddities & Curiosities - Parking Only for November 21 and 22 at $10.00 general parking. The item reads Good for one time parking. Enter through HWY 301 entrance.
The portal states that parking does not include event entry, that all convenience fees sit inside the printed price, and that tickets are not refundable, not transferable and carry no rainchecks.
That product is the cleanest line a room package can absorb. The $10 pass carries no fee beyond its price, and a property can fold it into a rate without touching admission.
Under-12s free sets the family total
Children 12 and under enter free, and the organiser states that they need no ticket. Two adults and two children buy two adult admissions. Advance pricing puts that group through the gate at $30 for admission and $10 for the car, so $40 for four people.
That figure belongs in front of the property. It gives the hotel a committed total and gives the family a baseline for any package.
Classes cost more than the show floor
Three classes run inside the weekend. Raccoon taxidermy runs Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at $325. Sunset moth entomology runs Sunday 10 a.m. to noon at $150. Scorpion habitat entomology runs Sunday 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at $150.
The organiser states no refunds on admission and no refunds on class seats. A class booking ties the guest to one day and one block of hours, which carries the weight in a rate negotiation.
The venue names seven hotels and no rate
The fairgrounds trip-planning page lists seven hotel partners with a published distance for each. Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tampa Fairgrounds Casino sits at 0.2 miles, described as directly across the street. Wyndham Garden Tampa Fairgrounds/Casino sits at 1.5 miles, opened in 2025, and lists free wifi and parking. Staybridge Suites Tampa-Brandon is 2.7 miles out, Hilton Garden Inn Tampa-East/Brandon 2.8, Courtyard Tampa-Brandon 4.4, Cambria Hotel Tampa-Brandon 5 and Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa East 5.0.
That page publishes no nightly rate, no group code and no cut-off date for any of the seven.
The Hilton Garden Inn card reads less than 2 miles while its distance field reads 2.8 miles. Ask for the drive time in writing.
The organiser carries an accommodation tab
The Showpass listing carries an Accommodations tab. The published listing names no property and no rate.
A buyer holding no published rate can ask each of the seven venue partners for a number, and can ask for the Saturday night alone as a comparison.
Florida sits outside the platform
hotelhaggle publishes its state restriction on the seller-of-travel page, last updated October 21, 2026. The page states that the company cannot process hotel booking requests from residents of or for travel to Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington. The restriction covers every hotelhuddle domain.
For this Tampa weekend the request goes to the property, through the sales office or the front desk, with the published numbers in hand.
The script for the call
Open with the dates and the walk: two nights, November 21 and 22, one adult pair, and the 0.2 mile partner across the street as the reference.
Name the four numbers a property can move: parking at $10 prepaid against $12 at the gate, admission at $15 advance against $20 at the door, and free entry for under-12s.
Close on four terms in writing: the room rate by date, the total with taxes and fees, the parking treatment, and a checkout time after the Sunday close.
