The housing terms on the organiser's hotel page
SATELLITE 2027 runs March 8 to 11, 2027 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The hotel page on satshow.com names Connections Housing as the official housing vendor. It states that group rates hold until the block sells out or the cutoff date arrives, and that rooms in the block are limited. It names no property and quotes no rate.
The registration page beside it runs three dated rate periods. The Launch rate closes December 11, 2026. Activation runs December 12, 2026 to February 19, 2027. Orbit runs February 20 to March 11, 2027. A Conference Pass moves from $2,199 to $2,499 to $2,799 across those periods.
The booking engine returns 32 priced properties
The Book Your Hotel control opens book.passkey.com. The block there publishes 32 properties, each with a distance to the venue and a starting rate. A read on 24 October 2026 put the starting rates at $254 to $530, with a median of $356.50.
Distances run from 0.12 miles at the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC to 0.93 miles at the Beacon at Embassy Row and YOTEL Washington DC. Nineteen properties sit within half a mile and ten within a quarter mile. Six start below $300. Two start at $500 or more.
The cards carry no dates. The list header reads "Select check-in and checkout dates to view availability," and the rooms-available field sits blank until a date pair is entered. The starting rate is the only number the block prints before a buyer commits to a night.
The cancellation date the vendor publishes
Connections Housing carries an event cancel policy on connectionshousing.app. A reservation cancelled on or before December 17, 2026 carries no fee. A cancellation after that date costs one night's room rate, on top of the individual hotel's own policy.
Rooms at the Marriott Marquis and the Westin DC Downtown carry additional terms. Each requires a separate signed agreement guaranteeing the rooms requested. The portal prints "Block cancel policy" and "Individual cancel policy" as headings with no text beneath them.
The help line is 702-625-5496, 6AM to 3PM Pacific, Monday to Friday. A group request form opens at 10 rooms, and the page states that all group block requests are subject to review.
Four nights, priced from the published numbers
A Sunday arrival and a Thursday departure hold four nights. Registration opens Sunday, March 7, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The exhibit hall closes at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 11, which is the last floor hour of the week.
The GSA FY2027 per diem puts March lodging in Washington at $295. The District hotel surtax runs 15.95 percent and holds through September 30, 2027. The two figures put the federal ceiling at $342.05 a night and $1,368.21 for four nights.
At $254, four nights run $1,178.05 including the surtax. At $530, four nights run $2,458.14. The spread between the ends of the list is $1,280.09.
The cheapest property inside half a mile is the Comfort Inn Downtown DC/Convention Center at $254 and 0.47 miles.
The venue facts that narrow the list
The building sits beside the Mt. Vernon Square/7th Street-Convention Center station on the Green and Yellow lines. satshow.com states that more than 3,000 parking spaces sit within a three-block radius, on a first-come basis. Events DC states that the Convention Center holds no public parking of its own and that parking rules are heavily enforced in the surrounding residential blocks. A room inside a quarter mile takes the parking question off the stay.
Five questions for the counter
Ask which nights the quoted rate covers. The block publishes one starting rate, and a starting rate and a per-night figure produce different totals across four nights.
Ask what the December 17 date cancels. The policy covers cancellations, and the two headed policy blocks on the portal print no text.
Ask what the Marriott Marquis and Westin DC Downtown agreements commit. Those two properties sit at $530 and $520, and each one requires a signed guarantee before the block confirms.
Ask for the deposit and the cancellation term in writing. The block advertises no deposit and no contract, and a no-deposit reservation still carries a cancellation term.
Ask for the rate on each of the four nights in writing. The engine prints $254 to $530 without dates, so a per-night figure is the number a buyer can hold the reservation against.
The registration dates that land first
The Launch rate closes December 11, 2026, 87 days before the Monday opening. The Orbit rate opens February 20, 2027, 16 days before it.
Four or more Conference Passes take 25 percent off the published rate at checkout, which puts four Launch passes at $1,649.25 each and saves $549.75 a person. Groups of 10 or more are quoted by the registration team. The group discount covers Conference Passes only and does not stack with other discounts.
One occupant pays $1,649.25 for a Launch Conference Pass and $1,368.21 for four nights at the federal ceiling. The two lines sit $281.04 apart, so the pass and the room carry similar weight in the trip budget.
