PacWest Grand Nationals runs 26 to 28 February 2027 in Halls D-E at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. Registration is required.
The Varsity event page prints Housing Required for the weekend. That designation puts the room inside the programme, and the published terms decide what a parent can ask.
Two date ranges on one host
The Varsity event page headline reads 26 to 28 February 2027. The 2027 Championship Information block on the same page reads 27-28 February 2027.
The Oregon Convention Center calendar lists 26 to 28 February in Halls D-E.
26 February is a Friday. A Friday arrival with a Sunday checkout is two nights. A Saturday arrival on the championship block is one night.
Two more bookings sit on that weekend. In10sity Dance Competition runs 26 to 28 February in the Oregon Ballroom. Bricks Cascade 2027 runs 27 and 28 February in Halls A and A1.
What the event publishes
The Varsity Cheer League listing values the event at 500 points. The bid block reads 1 Full Paid Bid and 2 At-Large Bids to The Cheerleading Worlds.
The schedules block reads "2027 Information coming soon".
Team Travel Source indexes the event as PacWest - Grand Nationals - 20270226. That address returns the Team Travel Source home page, so the property list, the block rate and the cut-off are not readable there.
The guarantee, as written
The lowest rate guarantee applies to some events. It compares one rate against another on four terms: room type, dates, included amenities, and the payment and cancellation terms.
The quoted rate must sit at a participating partner hotel listed on the Team Travel Source site. A non-refundable or pay-now rate fails the test. A rate that drops free breakfast, a waived resort fee or free parking fails the test. A rate that varies by occupancy fails where the block rate does not.
Booking fees paid to Team Travel Source sit outside the comparison. TTS Live! rates do not qualify.
What the guarantee leaves out
The ineligible list covers Expedia, Travelocity, Hotels.com and Priceline; AAA and AARP member rates; corporate negotiated rates; government rates; hotel employee and friends-and-family rates; pre-paid and non-refundable rates; and events where the guarantee is not advertised.
One clause reaches past that list. Where a lower rate can be booked for 9 or more rooms on one of those sites and it accounts for every factor above, the page asks the guest to report it.
The event page prints no guarantee status for PacWest. Ask the organiser to confirm in writing that the guarantee applies here before treating a lower quote as covered.
The date the guarantee stops
The guarantee runs to the contracted cut-off, printed as approximately one month before the event. A 26 February start puts that near late January 2027.
After the cut-off the rooms return to the hotels. The page states those rooms can sell below the block rate, outside the guarantee.
A comparison has to run before the cut-off, and the block page does not print the cut-off date.
The exemptions on the page
Housing Required events carry published exemptions: hotel points held in an amount that covers the booking, a military discount, and a hotel employee discount.
An owned home supports a commuter exemption. The page lists rentals as ineligible.
Teams within 75 miles of the venue are marked local automatically. Teams outside that radius but inside practical driving distance can request a commuter roster through staysmart@varsity.com. Prep and Novice teams within 150 miles are not required to book.
The Stay Smart programme sets no minimum night stay. A property can set its own, and the page separates the two rules.
The booking window
The January and February Housing Required bucket opened on one schedule. The email with the scheduled booking time went to coaches on Tuesday 15 September 2026 at noon Eastern. Team windows ran from Wednesday 16 September. The link went public on Monday 28 September 2026.
A programme registered more than 48 hours after registration opened waits for the public link.
Block schedules publish at least four weeks before a two-day event.
The asks, in order
Price the Friday night apart. Where the competition days are 27 and 28 February, the Friday is a travel night, and the ask is a Friday rate at the shoulder level.
Ask for the cut-off date in writing, with the guarantee status of this event beside it.
Ask for the room type, the occupancy limit and the amenity list in writing. Those three lines decide whether a comparison qualifies.
Ask for the cancellation term. The guarantee requires the same cancellation policy.
Ask for the itemised total: room, tax, any resort or destination fee, and parking.
Ask about an exemption where points, a military discount or an owned home applies, and send that request before the cut-off.
The venue terms beside the block
Garage parking at the venue runs $15 up to 18 hours with no in and out privilege. A dynamic rate of $15 to $25 applies at event entry. The garage opens at 6 AM, holds 800 spaces and prohibits overnight parking.
