Two events land on one Saturday

The Oregon Convention Center lists nine events for November 2026. Two of them share 7 November. The Oddities & Curiosities Expo runs 7 and 8 November in Halls C, D and E. The NW Martial Arts Festival runs 7 November in Hall A.

The HBA Housing Forecast Breakfast holds Portland Ballroom 251-252-253-258 on 6 November. Kumoricon runs 13 to 15 November across Halls A, A1, B, C, D and E.

The calendar gives a room buyer a split. Saturday night sits inside a weekend with two events on one day and a third the evening before. Sunday night follows a 5 p.m. close, and Monday carries no listed event.

Saturday night carries the weekend

The expo opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. on both days. The organiser FAQ prints those hours. A guest who arrives Saturday morning sees both show days from one Saturday night.

The 5 p.m. Sunday close returns that guest to the road before dark. A second night buys Monday morning and nothing on the show floor.

A property reads the same calendar. Demand for Saturday is dated and visible. Demand for Sunday rests on the guest's own plan.

What the fair charges at the door

Day-of admission is $20, paid by cash or credit. Children 12 and under enter free and need no ticket. The organiser prints no single advance price, because advance prices vary by venue and ticketing provider.

Tickets are nonrefundable. A ticket works for either day and stops working at the first scan. Re-entry runs on a stamp issued at arrival, and bags face a search on every entry.

The class programme opens with the doors. The opossum and raccoon taxidermy class runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sunset moth and octopus classes run 10 a.m. to noon. Students carry the responsibility for knowing their own start time.

Price the Sunday night on its own

Ask for two quotes, one per night. Saturday sits at the peak of the weekend. Sunday follows a 5 p.m. close and a Monday with no listed event at the venue.

Ask for the Sunday rate against a Monday checkout. Ask the property to justify a Sunday price set at the Saturday rate. Keep that comparison in writing.

TriMet prices an adult fare at $2.80, capped at $5.60 for a day. A Monday morning departure runs on that fare.

Test the two-night minimum against the 10 a.m. open

Some properties answer a weekend request with a two-night minimum. The door opens at 10 a.m. A guest who stays Friday night gains an earlier start on Saturday morning and nothing else in the published programme.

Ask the property to name what the second night covers. When the answer is a policy, ask for a Saturday-only rate and a Sunday rate quoted as a separate line.

The car is the second line

The venue garage holds 800 spaces, entered from NE Lloyd Boulevard on P1 and NE First Avenue on P2. Clearance is 7 feet on P1 and 9 feet on P2. Standard entry is $15 for up to 18 hours with no in and out privileges.

Events charge a dynamic $15 to $25 at the gate. Overnight parking is prohibited. The garage opens at 6 a.m., takes cards and touchless payment, and fills on busy days.

The venue counts 566 metered spaces within three blocks.

What the buyer should hold in writing

Name five terms before any quote is accepted. The Saturday rate and the Sunday rate as separate lines. Every mandatory charge by name and amount. The cancellation date and the penalty at each step. Parking, either inside the rate or named with its nightly price. The Sunday checkout time and the bag hold that follows it.

The organiser publishes no hotel page, no partner property and no block, so no organiser rate constrains the negotiation. A party of ten rooms or more becomes a group request.
