Three pass tiers and two rate windows
SEMICON West 2026 runs October 13 to 15 at Moscone Center in San Francisco. The registration site adds a pre-show day on October 12. The organiser publishes three passes. The Expo Plus Pass covers the exhibits, the keynotes and the sessions on the expo floor stages. The Thought Leadership Pass adds the forums and symposiums. The All-In Pass adds VIP badge pickup, daily lunch and the VIP Lounge.
The registration page states the windows in its key dates. Early bird rates ended June 26, advance rates ended September 25, and standard rates apply now.
The member column and the non-member column
Standard rates for a SEMI member: Expo Plus Pass $340, Thought Leadership Pass $945, All-In Pass $1,230.
Standard rates for a non-member: Expo Plus Pass $440, Thought Leadership Pass $1,245, All-In Pass $1,625.
The gap between the two columns is the value of the membership at the door. Expo Plus differs by $100. Thought Leadership differs by $300. All-In differs by $395. A team of five on All-In passes sits $1,975 apart across the two columns.
The membership pages publish the benefits: 20-plus technology communities, 150 committees, speaking opportunities at SEMI events, a member directory listing and member-only press releases. They carry no annual dues figure, so price the membership at the ticket.
The housing block closed on the same date
The registration key dates carry a housing line. September 25 was the last day to book in the discounted block. Registration refund requests closed October 1 against a $25 processing fee, and the site accepts substitutions after that date.
The organiser ran the block through Convention Management Resources, the official housing provider. The exhibitor housing page opened March 11, 2026 and carries its own ladder. Rooming list deadline Friday, August 28. Last day to cancel reservations without penalty Friday, September 25. Last day to add, change or cancel reservations Tuesday, September 29. Reservations moved to direct hotel management Thursday, October 1.
The booking page now returns one line: "Housing is now closed. Please contact your confirmed hotel directly for changes and cancellations beginning 10/1/2026." A date search for October 12 to 15 returns no available hotel and no published rate.
The email the organiser flags
Both housing information pages carry an alert. It names Convention Management Resources as the official hotel management company for SEMICON West Housing. It states that no other hotel management company or travel agency is authorized to place reservations on behalf of SEMICON West. It adds that those companies have not entered agreements with the San Francisco hotels and cannot guarantee rates or accommodations for the conference dates.
That paragraph is the filter. A room-selling email from any other company fails the test the organiser publishes.
The ask after both windows shut
Registration also saves money when a booking covers five or more people. Three show nights and one pre-show night give a Monday to Thursday stay. The ask is a direct quote for those nights.
Six questions carry the quote:
One. The three-night rate for an October 12 arrival and an October 15 departure, and the same room split night by night.
Two. The rate for a Friday, October 16 departure, one night longer.
Three. The cancellation window and the deposit term, in writing.
Four. The parking charge per night, quoted as a number.
Five. The breakfast start time against a 9 a.m. floor opening.
Six. The rooming list deadline and the name-change charge for a team booking.
The platform side takes the ask past the block. One request reaches 50 or more hotels, responses arrive in 24 to 72 hours, submission is free, the rate carries no markup, and you pay the hotel directly. No hotel accepts and you walk away with no obligation. Group rates start at 10 or more rooms per night at most hotels, and some properties quote at five.
The shoulder band runs Sunday through Thursday, published at 20 to 30 percent below peak nights. The nights of October 12, 13, 14 and 15 fall on a Monday, a Tuesday, a Wednesday and a Thursday, so the whole stay sits inside that band. The concession list is published beside it: complimentary breakfast, waived resort fees, free parking, suite upgrades and flexible cancellation terms.
Standard rates are the ticket prices in force now. The housing block ladder is the last published room benchmark. Both sit on the organiser domain, and both are the numbers to quote against.
