A published date and a free gate

The San Francisco Italian Heritage Parade steps off at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The organiser states the admission term on the parade page. Admission to the parade, including the Bank of America Concorso Italiano Auto Show, is free.

The entry application gives the route as 1.3 miles. It starts at Beach Street and Jefferson Street, runs west on Jefferson Street to Leavenworth Street, to Columbus Avenue, to Stockton Street, to Vallejo Street, to Columbus Avenue, to Filbert Street.

The parade page describes the same walk. The parade begins at the foot of Jefferson and Powell Streets in Fisherman's Wharf, proceeds south through North Beach on Columbus Avenue, and ends in Washington Square in front of Saints Peter and Paul Church. Viewing is available along the entire route.

The 2026 grand marshal is the actor Joe Mantegna. The civic grand marshal is Bernie Orsi.

The Sunday clock a room has to answer

Two published start times sit on the same day. High Mass runs at 10:00 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Church, the Roman Catholic parish in the heart of North Beach. The step-off follows two and a half hours later at 12:30 p.m.

The Saints Peter and Paul Bazaar runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days, Saturday and Sunday, October 10 and 11. The organiser numbers it the 109th annual edition. A group that arrives for the Mass and stays to the close is on site for eight hours.

Saturday carries its own anchor. Il Gran Ballo: La Dolce Vita After Dark runs Saturday, October 10 at the Westin St. Francis, the one hotel the organiser names in its events calendar.

Nine restaurants publish street seating along the route. The organiser lists Original Joe's, Piazza Pellegrini, Tony's Pizza Napoletana, Italian Homemade Company, Palermo II Delicatessen, Firenze by Night, North Beach Restaurant, Mona Lisa Mare e Monti Restaurant and Bar, and Steps of Rome Trattoria, with a phone number beside each.

What the organiser publishes for a bed

The parade page carries one route to a room. It is a link labelled Hotel recommendations in San Francisco. The events calendar names no room block, no group code and no event rate.

The organisation publishes its size on its who-we-are page: a board of more than 30 volunteers. The mailing address is 678 Green Street, San Francisco, CA 94133, and the board line is (415) 434-1492.

The ask for one Sunday night

The published ask is a Sunday-night quote. One night, October 11, for the room count the group needs. The gate charges nothing, so the room is the price the group brings to the table.

Six questions carry the quote:

One. The rate for Sunday, October 11 as a single night, and the same room priced as a Saturday and Sunday pair.

Two. The breakfast start time. A table that opens after 9:30 a.m. does not serve anyone walking to the 10 a.m. Mass.

Three. The earliest check-in and the bag-drop arrangement. A group arriving Sunday morning needs luggage held before a 12:30 p.m. step-off.

Four. The parking charge for the day, quoted as a number.

Five. The cancellation window and the deposit term, in writing.

Six. The rooming list deadline and the charge for a name change.

Where the leverage sits

The platform publishes its own terms. One request reaches 50 or more hotels. Responses arrive in 24 to 72 hours. Submission is free. You pay the hotel directly and the rate carries no markup. No hotel accepts and you walk away with no obligation.

Room count is the first lever. The platform publishes the comparison: a group needing 30 rooms holds three times the leverage of a group needing 10.

The shoulder band runs Sunday through Thursday, and the platform publishes that band at 20 to 30 percent below peak nights. Sunday, October 11 falls inside it.

The concession list is published on the platform negotiation page. Complimentary breakfast, waived resort fees, free parking, suite upgrades and flexible cancellation terms come out of the same conversation as the rate. A one-night booking at a North Beach or Fisherman's Wharf address that starts before the Mass and ends after Washington Square can ask for the breakfast and the parking.

The event costs the group nothing to attend, so the room quote is the whole negotiation.
