Six Hours Behind Thirteen Buildings
Christmas In The Country runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 12, 2026 at Cracker Country, the living history museum inside the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa. Dec. 12 is a Saturday. The event page prints “12-12-2026 10:00am-4:00pm,” and the venue calendar carries the same window.
The grounds hold a four-acre complex and 13 original buildings. Interpreters churn butter, clean laundry on a washboard, weave pine needle baskets and demonstrate beekeeping. The Main Stage runs bands at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Three crafts cost $2 each: dipping a beeswax candle, twisting a rope and dyeing with indigo. The General Store takes cash, debit and credit cards.
Age Tiers at the Gate
Admission runs $16 for adults 12 and up, $14 for seniors, $12 for students ages 6 to 11, and free for ages 0 to 5. Two adults and two children aged 6 to 11 pay $56. Add a grandparent at the senior rate and the party pays $70.
The event page requires advance purchase, states that no on-site sales take place, and makes every sale final. That final-sale term fixes the travel date. Book the room after the tickets sit in hand.
Two Parking Prices, One Route
The event page reads “$10 online | $12 onsite” and prints the route: “Enter the Fairgrounds via MLK Parking Entrance and park near Gate 2.” Cracker Country sits at the MLK Blvd entrance, Gate 2.
The parking portal carries three products dated Dec. 12, 2026. UFLY prints “Enter through Hwy 301 entrance,” a “$15.00” day pass and “$10.00” general parking. AAYA prints “$10.00” and no gate line. Fairgrounds Flea prints “Enter thru MLK Entrance” and $10. None carries the Christmas In The Country name, so the event page’s $10 online rate has no matching portal listing at this date.
That leaves the $12 gate figure as the number a party holds. The $2 gap repeats per vehicle. The portal terms also state that each ticket covers one parking entry and that parking excludes event entry.
Friday Night Comes From the Saturday Gate
Dec. 12, 2026 is a Saturday with a 10 a.m. gate. That clock puts the stay on Friday, Dec. 11. A party leaving a property 2.8 miles out at 9:30 a.m. holds a short drive and the full six hours on the grounds.
Saturday and Sunday nights carry no attendance. The event closes at 4 p.m. Quote a second night as its own line and see what the property does with it.
Seven Partners From 0.2 to 5.0 Miles, No Published Rate
The venue lists seven hotel partners with a distance field. Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tampa Fairgrounds Casino sits at 0.2 miles and reads “directly across the street from the Florida State Fairgrounds.” Wyndham Garden Tampa Fairgrounds/Casino sits at 1.5 miles. Staybridge Suites Tampa-Brandon sits at 2.7 miles. Hilton Garden Inn Tampa-East/Brandon sits at 2.8 miles. Courtyard Tampa-Brandon sits at 4.4 miles. Cambria Hotel Tampa-Brandon sits at 5 miles. Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa East sits at 5.0 miles.
No source for this event publishes a nightly rate, a room block, a group code or a cutoff date. The order in which these properties move on price is unpublished too, so rank the request on the distance field and on the cost the block does carry: Wyndham Garden publishes free Wi-Fi and free parking at 1.5 miles, which removes a per-vehicle entry charge from the day.
Two fields split from their copy. Wyndham Garden prints 1.5 miles in the field and “just one mile” in its copy. Hilton Garden Inn prints 2.8 in the field and “less than 2 miles” in its copy. Ask each property for drive time in writing.
Two Cars, One Walk
One entry costs $12 at the gate and $10 online. A family arriving in two cars pays $24 at the gate. An overnight parking charge at the property adds a second cost against the same day, and a property with free parking removes it.
The nearest partner sits across the street, and the event route runs through the MLK entrance to Gate 2. Park one vehicle there, walk the party in, and hold one entry charge. Ask that property for the walk time to Gate 2 and whether the lobby holds bags through the afternoon.
What to Put in the Request
Send four items: the Friday, Dec. 11 arrival; the 10 a.m. Saturday gate; the party of four with two children aged 6 to 11; and the $56 already committed in gate tickets. Ask for the Friday rate in writing, the Saturday night as its own line, and a parking term stated per vehicle per entry. Name the $12 gate figure so the property answers against a number.
Florida Sits Outside the Platform’s Booking Scope
The hotelhaggle.org seller-of-travel page, last updated Oct. 21, 2026, reads that the company cannot process hotel booking requests “from residents of or for travel to Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington.” The Florida line reads “Not currently registered as a Florida Seller of Travel.” Tampa sits in Florida, so the request travels directly to each property. compliance@hotelhuddle.com answers written questions about the restriction.
