Two Published Levers, and One of Them Carries a Year
SF Sketchfest, the San Francisco Comedy Festival, returns for its 24th year from January 14 to 31, 2027. The festival banner carries those dates and the line that the lineup is announcing in November. A buyer can use two booking levers and one phone number today.
Lever One: Box-Office Windows With No Service Fees
The festival venue page publishes in-person windows at three venues, and it labels those windows no service fees. The wording is the festival’s own.
Cobb’s Comedy Club, 915 Columbus Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94133, phone 415-928-4320: in person with no service fees on Wednesday 5:30 to 8:00pm, Thursday 5:30 to 8:00pm, Friday 5:30 to 10:30pm, Saturday 5:00 to 10:00pm and Sunday 5:00 to 8:00pm, plus two hours before door time on any Cobb’s show night.
Punch Line Comedy Club, 444 Battery Street, San Francisco, CA 94111, phone 415-397-7573: in person with no service fees on Tuesday 5:30 to 8:45pm, Wednesday 6:00 to 8:45pm, Thursday 6:00 to 8:45pm, Friday 5:30 to 10:00pm, Saturday 5:00 to 10:00pm and Sunday 5:30 to 8:45pm.
Great American Music Hall, 859 O’Farrell Street, San Francisco, CA 94109, phone 415-885-0750: in person with no service fees on Fridays 12pm to 5pm, plus two hours before door time on any Great American show night.
Eight of the other nine venues publish one shared window: from 60 minutes before any SF Sketchfest show to 15 minutes after the show begins, with no service-fee label beside it. The Sydney Goldstein Theater publishes a phone line in its place, 415-392-4400, Monday to Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The festival ticket page confirms both channels. It reads that tickets may also be purchased over the phone for an additional fee depending on the venue, and that certain advance tickets may be purchased in person to avoid service fees.
Read the three windows as an itinerary constraint. The Great American window runs once a week, on a Friday afternoon, so a show booked there on a Saturday needs the two-hour door window on the show night instead.
Lever Two: A Corporate ID and Three Booking Windows
The festival hotel page publishes two partner hotels under the 2026 heading. Hotel Kabuki, a JdV by Hyatt hotel, is named as an official hotel partner of Sketchfest 2026, with 225 rooms and suites in Japantown. The reservation instruction is a phone line and three dated windows: “Sketchfest attendees enjoy exclusive rates on overnight hotel stays, January 15 to February 1, 2026. To reserve, please select for either Week 1 (Jan 15-18), Week 2 (Jan 19-25) or Week 3 (Jan 26-Feb 2) or call 415-922-3200 and ask for SF Sketchfest.”
Each window resolves to its own Hyatt group booking page under the Hotel Kabuki property code SFOJD. Week 1 carries code G-SFS6, Week 2 carries code G-SFS7 and Week 3 carries code G-SFS5. The three links are published on the festival page, and no figure is published beside any of them.
The second partner publishes a corporate ID in place of a window. Hotel Enso is named as an official hotel partner of Sketchfest 2026, with the instruction to use Corporate ID 787113000 to access discounted rates. That link resolves to an IHG redirect carrying brand code KI, hotel code SFOBC and corporate number 787113000.
Every Published Window Belongs to the 2026 Edition
The Kabuki paragraph reads Sketchfest 2026, the stay span ends February 1, 2026, and the three windows are the 2026 pairings. The 2027 run is January 14 to 31, 2027, so the hotel page publishes no 2027 window, no 2027 group code and no cut-off date.
The ticket page carries the same lag. It still reads that the festival returns January 15 to February 1, 2026, that tickets are on sale now, and that the lineup is subject to change. The current dates sit on the home page banner, and the November announcement is the point at which the 2027 windows should appear.
The Script for the Phone Line
Call 415-922-3200 and ask for SF Sketchfest, which is the instruction the festival prints. Have a dated window in hand before dialling. For the coming edition, ask the reservation desk to write down the 2027 window dates and the code that applies to each, because the published pairings belong to the prior cycle.
Ask three further questions on the same call. First, whether the group code rate is refundable or non-refundable. Second, whether corporate ID 787113000 is honoured on the same nights, because the two partner routes publish different mechanisms and no page states whether they stack. Third, whether the rate is held for a single night or for the full stay, because each code is attached to a week.
What to Sort First
Sort the room before the ticket. The room code is the element that changes with the week, and the room window is the one a buyer can hold in writing before the lineup lands. Ask for the window, the code and the rate in a single email reply, then keep the reply.
Buy the ticket in person inside a published window at Cobb’s, the Punch Line or the Great American Music Hall, or inside the two-hour door window on a show night. On a sold-out show the ticket page states that a limited number of tickets may be available at the venue box office on the night, sold on a first-come, first-served basis, with a line forming about 60 to 90 minutes before showtime. Ticketing questions go to boxoffice@sfsketchfest.com.
The final lever is the walk-away. The phone line quotes, the codes quote, and a buyer who holds the dates and the reply has the whole published position on this festival for January 2027.
