Fifteen show hours across one weekend
The Florida Gun Show Tampa runs December 5 and 6, 2026 in Expo Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. Hwy 301 N. Saturday runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The two days carry fifteen show hours.
Expo Hall holds 87,000 or more square feet of exhibit space under 45-foot ceilings. The venue directs this show to the U.S. Hwy 301 entrance at Gate 1.
The gate is fixed at the booth
Admission runs $15. The venue page states that all tickets must be purchased at the show and that online purchase is not available. A buyer cannot pre-buy this ticket.
Three terms sit beside the price. Law enforcement officers in uniform enter free. NRA members, veterans and military receive $1.00 off with proof of identification at the ticket booth.
Show rules require every firearm to be unloaded before entry, with magazines empty and removed and no loose ammunition anywhere in the show. A security officer fits a plastic tie strap that stays on the gun for the duration of the visit.
Parking is the prepaid line
The event page prints parking at $10 online and $12 onsite. The fairgrounds parking shop lists a Gun Show December product for December 5 and 6 at $10.00, entering through U.S. Hwy 301, good for one time entry.
The shop states that a parking ticket does not include event entry. Two days at the gate cost $24. Two advance tickets cost $20.
Seven properties, 0.2 to 5.0 miles, no rate
The fairgrounds Trip Planning page lists seven hotel partners. Each carries a published distance field. None carries a nightly rate, a group code, a room block or a cut-off date for this weekend, and the partner block holds no dollar figure.
Holiday Inn Express and Suites Tampa Fairgrounds Casino sits at 0.2 miles and is described as directly across the street. Wyndham Garden Tampa Fairgrounds/Casino sits at 1.5 miles. Staybridge Suites Tampa-Brandon sits at 2.7 miles. Hilton Garden Inn Tampa-East/Brandon sits at 2.8 miles. Courtyard Tampa-Brandon sits at 4.4 miles. Cambria Hotel Tampa-Brandon sits at 5 miles. Hampton Inn and Suites Tampa East sits at 5.0 miles.
Pricing the weekend off 0.2, 1.5 and 2.8
The three properties closest to the gate carry the negotiation. The 0.2 mile Holiday Inn Express allows a guest to walk in, which removes both parking entries from the weekend and with them $20 in advance or $24 at the gate.
The 1.5 mile Wyndham Garden publishes free parking in its own description. A driver who stays there pays for fuel and nothing at the fairgrounds gate.
The 2.8 mile Hilton Garden Inn sits beside a description reading less than 2 miles from the fairgrounds. Both readings are printed on one page. Ask for the drive time in writing and hold the field value of 2.8 in the comparison.
The Wyndham Garden term to anchor the ask
Wyndham Garden opened in 2025. The description lists free Wi-Fi and parking, an outdoor heated pool, a 24 hour fitness center, and pet friendly non smoking rooms.
Free parking is the concession no other property on the list publishes. Across this weekend it carries the same value as two advance parking entries, which is $20, or two gate entries, which is $24. That figure converts into a direct request to any property charging separately for parking.
The two five mile partners carry the room supply
Cambria Hotel Tampa-Brandon sits at 5 miles and Hampton Inn and Suites Tampa East at 5.0 miles. Neither description lists free parking. Hampton Inn publishes free WiFi and free hot breakfast, and Cambria publishes a restaurant and bar, an outdoor pool and Choice rewards.
The ask for both is the same. Match the one published free parking term on the list, or hold a rate low enough that the drive and the parking entry together cost the guest less than a closer room. The distance field is the number to quote, because it is the only property-level measure either page gives.
One night covers the Sunday
A Saturday 9 a.m. gate puts Friday and Saturday nights inside the weekend for anyone attending both days. A Saturday night alone covers the Sunday, because the Sunday gate opens at 10 a.m. and the floor closes at 5 p.m.
Sunday checkout before a 10 a.m. gate needs an early desk visit. A 2 p.m. checkout, or a luggage hold, covers the Sunday floor and is the term to request first.
Florida sits outside the platform service area
hotelhaggle states its restriction on the seller of travel page, last updated October 21, 2026. The company cannot process hotel booking requests from residents of or for travel to Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington. Florida carries the status line Not currently registered as a Florida Seller of Travel, and the restriction applies across every hotelhuddle property.
For this Tampa weekend the request goes to the property directly. The published numbers travel with it.
What to put in writing
Nightly rate for December 5 and 6, priced by night. Total with taxes and fees. Parking treatment, either a space inside the rate or the $10 advance and $12 gate figure at the venue. Checkout time against the Sunday 10 a.m. gate. Cancellation date and the penalty after it. Distance stated as drive minutes rather than miles.
Add one more line for this show. No source on this row states a property policy on firearms or on ammunition in a guest room. Ask for that policy in writing before the room is booked, because the show requires every firearm to arrive unloaded with magazines removed and no loose ammunition.
