Eight lanes sit under the headline rate

The National League of Cities publishes the City Summit rate card on citysummit.nlc.org. The conference runs 19 to 21 November 2026 at Music City Center, 201 Rep. John Lewis Way S, with pre-conference programming on 18 November.

The band open today runs 2 September to 16 November. It reads $1,115 for an NLC member, $1,270 for a state municipal league member and $1,480 for a nonmember. The onsite band opens 17 November at $1,255, $1,425 and $1,610.

Eight special attendee rates sit below that ladder on the same page. First Time Attendee $725. Youth Delegate or Chaperone $365. University Student $380. Guest or Spouse $360. Tennessee One-Day $150. Tennessee Promo Member $600. Tennessee Promo State Municipal League $700. Tennessee Promo Non-Member $800.

The lowest figure on the page is $150

The Tennessee One-Day rate is the smallest number on the rate card. A delegate who reads the first-timer line at $725 as the entry rate passes over a badge that costs $575 less.

The page prints the label and the price with no eligibility sentence beside the one-day line. Ask NLC which days the badge covers and who qualifies. Take the answer in writing before paying.

The $775 lane closed on 20 April

The Attended CCC26 Discount column ran 16 March to 20 April at $775 for an NLC member, $920 for a state municipal league member and $990 for a nonmember. That band has closed.

The NLC member ladder then ran $835 to 1 June, $970 to 1 September and $1,115 to 16 November. The gap between the closed $775 lane and the open $1,115 lane is $340.

The live decision sits between $1,115 through 16 November and $1,255 from 17 November. That gap is $140, and 22 days separate today from the close of the regular window.

The cancellation date is 26 October

NLC routes every cancellation request in writing to NLCCS@maritz.com by 26 October 2026 with a $125.00 fee. The page accepts no cancellation after that date. Substitutions run at any time, and no request goes through by phone.

26 October is a Monday, one day from today. A lane selected and paid before that date keeps a refund route.

Five registrations buy a sixth

Groups of five or more receive a complimentary sixth registration. NLC requires the registrations paid in full and every individual registered at the same time. Spouse or Guest, Student, Youth Chaperone and Youth Delegate categories sit outside the offer.

A city sending five delegates at the $1,115 member rate pays $5,575 and receives the sixth seat at no charge. The group policy lets NLC charge the full amount for the sixth registration where a group cancels one individual and supplies no substitution.

The block runs $269 to $389

The hotel page lists 17 properties in the official block. The Omni Nashville Hotel at 250 Rep. John Lewis Way S is the headquarters property at $329 for single or double.

Holiday Inn & Suites Nashville Downtown at 415 4th Avenue South is the lowest at $269. Motto by Hilton at 311 3rd Ave S and Sheraton Grand at 623 Union St. sit at $279. Residence Inn, Springhill Suites, AC Hotel and The Westin sit at $299. JW Marriott Nashville at 201 8th Ave S is the highest at $389.

The page prints no booking cutoff date for the block. The fee disclosure states that room rates include a modest rebate and commission shared with the host city and with Maritz. Maritz Global Events is the contracted housing company, and the page warns that reservations made through any other company carry the buyer’s risk.

The federal ceiling for the room

The General Services Administration publishes the Nashville rate at $230 a night for every month of fiscal 2027 in Davidson County, with meals at $86. That figure is the room ceiling before tax.

The lowest block rate at $269 sits $39 above that line. A delegate on federal reimbursement needs the room inside the $230 ceiling or a documented reason for the excess.

What to bring to the counter

Name the lane at registration. The rate card states that a registrant may attend as a special attendee, so the qualification question belongs in the first email to conferences@nlc.org.

Ask the block hotel for its published rate for the same nights and room type, and ask whether the reservation can be changed without penalty. The hotel page promises penalty-free updates before check-in, and that sentence belongs on the confirmation email.

Ask NLC for the block cutoff date, because the hotel page prints none, and hold the booking confirmation until the answers arrive.
