The date, the clock and the size

The 2026 Liberty Mutual Music City Bowl kicks off Wednesday, Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. Central, 3 p.m. Eastern, at Nissan Stadium. The bowl office announced the date on June 3, 2026 and named no teams. The game pairs a Southeastern Conference team with a Big Ten team.

The stadium holds 68,000 seats on 105 acres on the east bank of the Cumberland River. The 2025 game produced more than $38.2 million in economic impact and ranked third in attendance among bowl games outside the College Football Playoff.

The 2026 game is expected to be one of the last major football games in the current stadium. The bowl's release states that the new Nissan Stadium next door is projected to open in early 2027.

What the bowl publishes on price

The tickets page reads that tickets are not currently for sale for 2026. SeatGeek is named as the official ticket provider, and the page carries no tier, no price and no on-sale date.

The room side reads the same. The game release, the FAQ page and the tickets page carry no hotel, no room block, no group rate and no cut-off date. A buyer has no published block to price against.

All ticket sales are final, and the FAQ states that there are no refunds or exchanges. The room term is the part of the trip a buyer can still negotiate.

The published transit floor

Gray Line Tennessee runs the gameday shuttle and publishes its terms. The fare is $20 round trip per person, children 6 and under ride free, the receipt serves as the ticket, cash is not accepted, and QR codes sell on site. Service begins 90 minutes before kickoff and returns from halftime through one hour after the game.

The park and ride with Gray Line and PMC runs from 1221 Broadway at $50 per vehicle plus taxes, with the lot receipt as the shuttle ticket, and from 1800 Galleria Blvd in Franklin at $70 per vehicle plus taxes. Departures are 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., and boarding and return sit at Woodland Street and S 1st Street.

Four adults on the $20 shuttle pay $80. The same four arriving in one vehicle from 1221 Broadway pay $50. The bowl FAQ adds a WeGo stop at S 1st Street and Woodland Street served by four routes on event days, and three walking bridges.

Parking is not sold at the stadium

The tickets page states that construction around Nissan Stadium has ended on-site parking, and directs fans to pre-purchase through PMC.

The ceiling to hold a quote against

The federal lodging ceiling for Nashville and Davidson County is $230 a night in every month of fiscal 2027, published by the General Services Administration. Two nights at that figure total $460.

That figure gives a request a floor while no room block exists. Ask for the game nights at or under $230 and put the rate in writing.

What to ask for, and before when

Ask for December 30 terms now, while the teams are unnamed. The bowl's release states that participating teams and ticket information will be released in the months ahead. A property that prices on matchup demand has no matchup to price yet.

First, a cancellation term that survives the team announcement. The ticket cannot move, because all sales are final, so the room term carries the risk. Second, a rate held at or under the $230 ceiling for the game nights. Third, written confirmation of the parking term, because the stadium sells none and the shuttle runs to a fixed clock.

The SEC team sits on the east side of the stadium and the Big Ten team on the west. The bowl office answers at (615) 743-3130 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Central, and ticket questions route to tickets@musiccitybowl.com.
