Ten days on one floor plan

The Washington, D.C. Auto Show runs January 22 to 31, 2027 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Allen Y. Lew Place NW, Washington, D.C. 20001. The show calls itself the largest indoor event in the region. Ten public show days follow a Public Policy Preview Day.

Hours change by day. Friday, January 22 runs 12 to 9 p.m. Saturday, January 23 runs 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, January 24 runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, January 25 to 28, run 12 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 29 runs 12 to 9 p.m. Saturday, January 30 runs 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, January 31 runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The entrance closes one hour before the show closes each day.

The ticket ladder

Adults 13 and up pay $15 on weekdays, listed as January 22 and January 25 through 29. Adults pay $20 on weekends, listed as January 23, 24, 30 and 31. Children 6 to 12 pay $7 any day. Children 5 and under enter free.

Discounts sit at the door. Seniors 65 and up take $2 off a weekend ticket and $4 off a weekday ticket. Students take $4 off a weekday ticket with a student ID. Military Tribute Day and Student Day carry no date yet.

The show sells tickets through its partner site Eventim and states that tickets from other sellers are not valid. Its home page reads "2027 Tickets On Sale Later This Year," so the prices above are the show's published 2027 ladder with sales not yet open. The show's ticket page carries no dollar figure.

No public parking at the building

The venue's own FAQ is direct. "There is no public parking at the Convention Center." Over 3,000 spaces sit within a three-block radius in surface lots and garages, and twelve metered spaces on 9th Street are reserved for vehicles with disability permits. The venue adds that parking regulations are heavily enforced in the surrounding residential blocks. The show recommends booking parking ahead through SpotHero.

That statement moves a line item off the room bill and onto the street. A guest who drives buys parking from a third party at a rate the show does not publish.

The train enters the building

The convention center sits on top of the Mt. Vernon Square/7th Street-Convention Center station on the Green and Yellow lines. The station entrance is at the southwest corner of 7th and M Street NW, with entrances that lead directly into the building. The Red Line alternative is Gallery Place-Chinatown, a five-minute walk from the center.

The venue publishes that access itself. A guest arriving by train walks from the platform into the hall.

What the fare band costs a group

WMATA publishes rail fare at $2.25 to $6.75 one way for a full fare, and $1.10 to $3.35 for a senior or reduced fare. A round trip runs $4.50 to $13.50 a person.

Stretch that across the run. Ten days of round trips run $45 to $135 a person. Four people covering all ten days run $180 to $540. A guest staying two nights and attending two show days runs $9 to $27 in fares.

Price the walk into the room rate

The show, the venue and the hotel brands publish no room rate for these dates. The published numbers are the ticket ladder, the fare band and the parking statement.

Put the walk into the request as a priced condition. Ask each property for a group rate on the show nights and a second line stating what the rate assumes about parking. Ask whether the property sits within a walk of a Green or Yellow line station, and which entrance the walk uses. Ask whether the hotel holds bags before check-in and after check-out, because a one-night stay against a 9 p.m. close needs both.

Use the fare band as the frame. A downtown property on the Green or Yellow line removes a daily garage charge from the group sheet. A property outside the District adds a train leg. The rate difference between those two answers is the number the request is built to expose.

Two weekends inside ten days

The show carries two weekends and one five-day weekday block. Weekend adult admission runs $20 and weekday admission runs $15, so a group splitting arrival between a Friday and a Saturday pays two ticket prices for one floor.

Book room nights against the show calendar. A Friday, January 22 arrival covers the first weekend. A Monday, January 25 arrival covers the weekday block and ends before the second weekend.

One written request through hotelhaggle reaches hotels in the destination at no charge. Each property answers with its group rate, terms and perks in one place, and you pay the hotel directly.
