FedGIS 2027: Name a Price on Two February Nights

Two weekdays in February

Esri FedGIS runs 9 and 10 February 2027 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Allen Y. Lew Place NW, Washington, DC 20001. The dates fall on a Tuesday and a Wednesday.

The agenda page is titled Agenda at a Glance. It carries the dates and the city. It publishes no session times. A buyer cannot prove an arrival night from a page that names no clock. Whether the stay is Monday and Tuesday nights or Tuesday and Wednesday nights stays open until the organiser publishes the schedule.

What the registration ladder commits

General attendance runs $899 on the early bird rate to 23 October 2026, then $949 to 8 January 2027, then $999 on the late and on-site rate. Each step is $50.

Put that $50 against the room. One night at the February federal per diem for the District costs $235.38 after tax. The whole early bird saving covers about a fifth of that night.

Three days between the two tiers

The cancellation policy is explicit. Cancellations received after 11 January 2027 forfeit 50 percent of the registration fee. A registrant who cancels after 26 January 2027, or who does not attend, forfeits the full fee. Substitutions can be made at any time.

8 January 2027 is a Friday and 11 January is a Monday. The standard tier closes on the Friday. The half-fee forfeit begins after the Monday.

Name that window when the hotel quotes a cancellation deadline. A property that demands a decision in December settles the room before the standard tier can be priced. A property that holds the room to 11 January lines both deadlines up on the last day a registration can be cancelled without forfeit.

The policy carries one more line for this ask. Cancelling the registration leaves the hotel reservation standing. The room needs its own deadline, and the buyer should say so.

Three tiers that carry no fee

US federal government employees register complimentary. So do non-US national government employees, and so do nonprofit, nongovernmental and international organisations. No deadline applies to any of them.

A complimentary registrant has nothing to forfeit. The room is the whole financial commitment. The only deadline that can cost money is the one the hotel sets.

The February ceiling

The GSA rate for the District of Columbia in February 2027 is $203 a night, with $92 for meals and incidentals. The District applies a 15.95 percent tax to transient accommodations, and the Office of Tax and Revenue carries that rate through 30 March 2027.

At $203 the tax is $32.38. The night costs $235.38 and two nights cost $470.76. A quote above $203 in February lands above the federal ceiling. The city's own rate runs to $295 from March through June.

Parking and the one-stop option

The convention center sells no public parking. More than 3,000 spaces sit within a three-block radius across surface lots and garages. The venue publishes no rate for any of them. The building sits above the Mt. Vernon Square/7th Street-Convention Center station on the Green and Yellow lines. An entrance on the southwest corner of 7th and M Street NW leads into the building.

Parking inside the rate and a one-stop ride are the two cheapest concessions on the table. Both cost the property less than a rate cut.

What the venue calendar does not carry

The Events DC calendar for the building lists Apex 2027 on 27 and 28 January 2027 and nothing else between late January and March. FedGIS does not appear on it. Esri names the building and the street address on two separate pages.

Any claim about compression on 9 and 10 February needs a source outside that calendar.

The ask, in order

A cancellation deadline at 11 January 2027. A rate at or under the $203 ceiling, with the tax shown separately. Parking inside the rate. A confirmed arrival night once the agenda publishes a clock.

The building runs events for 500 to 42,000 attendees across 703,000 square feet of exhibit space. Two midweek days in February give the buyer room to ask for all four items and let the property price them.

Send the ask as a price

hotelhaggle sends one offer to more than 50 hotels at once, and each hotel accepts, counters or declines. A buyer states a nightly price and the dates. The District of Columbia sits outside the restricted-state list, so a DC offer can go out through the platform.

Write the offer with both candidate night pairs, a nightly price at or under $203, the 11 January deadline and the parking ask.
