Three steps and a fixed $50
IDWeek 2026 published three registration windows on every category. The meeting ran Oct. 21-24 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Member registration cost $900 before Aug. 1, $1,050 from Aug. 1 to Sept. 18, and $1,310 from Sept. 19 to Nov. 30. Nonmember registration on the same three steps cost $1,455, $1,610 and $1,920.
Subtract the columns at each step. The gap reads $555, $560 and $610. The nonmember ladder climbs $465 from the advance step to the onsite step. The member ladder climbs $410 across the same span.
The registration page publishes no annual dues. The $555 to $610 is the difference between two tickets. Ask the society for its current dues before treating that difference as a return.
The block credit is $50, flat
Registrants in the Member, Nonmember, Member Trainee and Nonmember Trainee categories receive $50 off when they book inside the official hotel block. The rates page states the discount applies automatically and shows on the review and checkout page after a room reservation is completed through the registration and housing site.
In-block figures read $850, $1,000 and $1,260 for members and $1,405, $1,560 and $1,870 for nonmembers. The gap holds at $555, $560 and $610 on every step, because both columns take the same $50.
Value the credit as a fixed sum. It equals 3.8 percent of the $1,310 member onsite rate and 2.6 percent of the $1,920 nonmember onsite rate. It does not reach Member Resident, Member Medical Student, Nonmember Resident or Nonmember Medical Student, which held $50, $0, $100 and $50 at every step.
The category question outranks the timing question
A nonmember registering this week pays $1,920. A member registering this week pays $1,310. That $610 gap exceeds the $465 a nonmember lost by arriving after the advance window closed.
Ask the category question first. Ask the timing question second. Put the $50 room credit third.
Trainees and residents hold their own ladder
Member trainees paid $455, $480 and $610. Nonmember trainees paid $670, $700 and $830. The gaps read $215, $220 and $220, under half the full-category gap and the largest single line in a trainee budget.
Member residents held $50 at all three steps against $100 for nonmember residents. Member medical students held $0 against $50 for nonmember medical students. A resident who joins gains $50 on the ticket and nothing from the block credit.
The hall runs to Oct. 24
Three premeeting workshops ran on Oct. 20, at 8 a.m., 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. ET. The Oct. 21 workshops opened at 8 a.m. Workshops price separately from the ticket and carry no on-demand access.
The Opening Reception ran Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Marriott Marquis in the Marquis Ballroom and Foyer. The exhibit hall in Halls A-B runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 22, 23 and 24. The Saturday night matters to an attendee who stays for the last hall day.
Onsite prices hold through Nov. 30. The registration desk opens at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20 and closes at 6 p.m., with 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. hours from Oct. 22. In-person and virtual rates are the same, and on-demand access runs through March 31, 2027.
The housing desk handed over on Oct. 10
The FAQ sets three housing dates. Changes, cancellations and additions went through Maritz on or before Oct. 6. Reservations were processed at the hotels on Oct. 8. From Oct. 10 attendees contact the hotel directly.
A registrant who books a room today deals with a property. The $50 credit is written for a reservation completed through the registration and housing site, and no page states whether a booking made after Oct. 10 still counts as in-block. Put that question in writing before paying.
The registration cancellation terms split by category, and both deadlines have passed. Members could cancel in writing to Maritz through Sept. 18 for a refund less a $75 fee. Nonmember registration and guest fees are nonrefundable. The FAQ states that substitutes from one individual to another are not allowed, and that shuttles will not be provided.
What to put in the room request
Ask the property for the nightly rate across your arrival dates, in writing. Ask whether the reservation will record as an in-block booking. Ask whether the $50 will appear at checkout. Ask for the cancellation date and the deposit in the same message.
The published room-side record holds four dates and one credit: Maritz on or before Oct. 6, the hotels on Oct. 8, property contact from Oct. 10, and the $50. The rate is unpublished.
A group sending several registrants can put those nights out as one request and read the offers side by side. At five onsite member registrations the ticket bill is $6,550 and the credit is $250. The room rate is the line still open.
