One property carries the block

March for Life 2027 falls on Friday, January 22. The pre-rally concert starts at 11 a.m., the rally runs at 12 p.m., and the march steps off at 1 p.m. on the National Mall. The Rose Dinner Gala runs 5:30 to 9 p.m. in the Potomac Ballroom of the Westin Washington, D.C. Downtown Hotel, and it requires a ticket.

The organizer names one hotel for the room block: the Westin at 999 9th St NW, Washington, D.C. 20001, phone (202) 898-9000. The property sits across from the Washington Convention Center, and its listed Metro station is Gallery Place/Chinatown. Groups are 10 rooms or more.

One rate across four bed types

The housing page prices the block at the prevailing federal government per diem. The room-list template prints the arithmetic: $203.00 plus $32.38 tax, for $235.38 a night. The tax line is 15.95 percent of the room rate. The same figure covers single, double, triple and quad occupancy.

Occupancy sets the per-head cost. A double splits at $117.69 a head, a triple at $78.46, and a quad brings the night to $58.84 a person. Ten rooms for two nights, arriving January 21 and leaving January 23, total $4,707.60.

The card guarantees the room

The template requires every room to be guaranteed with a credit card or a check. Its field reads "Credit Card Number For Guarantee Only." That label is the whole commitment the hotel publishes on the form. No clause on the template assigns a charge for a room the group drops inside the published window.

Final payment can run by check

Final Payment Method is a column with two values, credit card and check. The template instructs that a check for final payment be made payable and mailed directly to the hotel, and that it arrive at least ten business days before arrival. Against a Friday, January 22 arrival, ten business days lands on Friday, January 8, 2027.

A group paying by check holds its cash through the first week of January. Ask the hotel to confirm in writing which address receives the check, who signs for it, and when the deposit clears.

Seventy-two hours is the exit

The template sets the cancellation policy at 3 days or 72 hours before arrival. A no-show counts as a cancellation. The room is released, and the hotel or March for Life assesses a one-night fee.

Read that term beside the room-list date. Group lists are due Saturday, November 14, 2026, and a list filed on that date leaves the group free to release rooms until 72 hours before the January 22 arrival. Rooms held past November 14 return to general sale.

Two deadlines and one block window

The organizer closes group reservation lists on November 14, 2026 and individual reservations on December 29, 2026, a Tuesday. Both channels are open now. The Passkey booking page for the block carries its own window, January 19 to January 23, 2027, and reads "Now accepting reservations!" The window runs longer than the single march day.

What the pages leave open

The housing page and the room-list template publish no attrition clause. They publish no minimum stay. The template carries no early check-in term and no late check-out term. It names no meeting space, and the organizer states that limited availability at the Westin rules out meeting space reservations this year.

Those gaps go into the request as questions that need a written answer. Ask for the attrition term in writing. Ask whether a two-night minimum attaches to the $203 rate. Ask what the hotel charges for a room released inside the 72-hour window when the group has filed a complete list.

The trade a leader can put on the table

A card held for guarantee only, a check due ten business days before arrival, and a 72-hour exit add up to a booking that costs the group nothing before January. That structure is the position to trade from.

Offer a firm two-night commitment across ten or more rooms and ask for a lower rate. Offer the full room list in November and ask the hotel to hold those rooms past the general-sale release. Offer card settlement and ask what the earlier cash buys.

Send the completed template to the contact on the form and reference MARCH FOR LIFE on every message, as the form instructs. Put the questions into one written request through hotelhaggle. A single request reaches hotels in the destination, each answer arrives with rate, terms and perks on one screen, and you pay the hotel directly with no markup on the rate.
