The price ladder, step by step
The Military Additive Manufacturing Summit runs 26-28 January 2027 at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S. Franklin Street. The main conference and exhibits take 26 and 27 January. Workshop Day takes 28 January.
Industry and contractor registration prices in four steps: $1,090 until 31 July 2026, $1,190 until 2 October 2026, $1,390 until 4 December 2026, and $1,590 until 22 January 2027. Non-profit, academia and FFRDC rates run $790, $890, $990 and $1,090 on the same dates.
Active-duty military and government attendees register for the main conference at no charge until 22 January 2027. DSI requires an active .mil or .gov address and a request by email to the event contact.
What 4 December costs
The step from $1,390 to $1,590 is $200, and it lands on 4 December 2026. Workshop Day is a separate registration at $595 for industry and for non-profit, academia and FFRDC, and DSI states that it sits outside the main conference fee.
The workshop row for military and government prints $199 with a non-US qualifier. DSI publishes no separate workshop figure for US military and government, so that number needs an email confirmation.
Four properties, no published rate
The venue and hotels page names four downtown properties: Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Downtown Convention Center at 513 South Florida Avenue, Hotel Tampa Riverwalk at 200 North Ashley Drive, Aloft by Marriott Tampa Downtown at 100 West Kennedy Boulevard, and Hyatt Place Tampa Downtown at 325 North Florida Avenue.
The page states that rooms are available at a discounted rate at those hotels. It prints no figure for any of the four.
What the four booking links return
The Aloft link opens a Marriott group page headed 2027 Defense Strategies, with a default window of 23-28 January 2027 and a rate of $309 a night. The Embassy Suites link opens a Passkey block headed Defense Strategies Institute - 2027, with a window of 24-28 January 2027 at 513 South Florida Avenue.
The Hotel Tampa Riverwalk link returns a Hilton 404 page. The Hyatt Place link returns an error page from the Hyatt group booking system.
A delegate who wants a rate from either of those two properties has to call or email. Ask for the summit rate, the room type and the cancellation term in one message.
The block window runs past the summit
The Embassy block opens Sunday 24 January. The summit opens Tuesday 26 January at 8 a.m. The block covers two nights before the first session.
Ask whether those nights carry the same rate, and whether the block holds a room through Friday 29 January.
Three nights or four
A Monday 25 January arrival and a Thursday 28 January departure is three nights. The venue booking ends at 4 p.m. on 28 January, so a Thursday departure gives up that afternoon.
Four nights at $309 reads $1,236. Three nights reads $927. Ask for a late checkout before paying for a fourth night.
The garage carries two published rates
DSI places parking at the Convention Center Garage, 107 N. Franklin Street, at $15 for the day. The City of Tampa names the Fort Brooke Garage at the same street address.
Ask DSI which garage the $15 covers, and ask the garage what the rate reads on 26-28 January.
What the rate holds after year end
The venue page carries one sentence on duration: many of the hotel partner discounts expire at the end of the year. That sentence turns the hotel ask into a date question.
Ask each property for the rate in writing through 29 January. Ask whether a reservation made in December keeps its rate in January.
Group terms and substitutions
DSI routes groups of more than five to an email request for a discounted rate. Cancellations must arrive in writing no later than 20 working days before the first day of the event. Substitutions must arrive five business days before the start.
DSI asks delegates to route summit requests to the event contact and to keep the venue contact for logistics.
The number to put in front of a hotel
One industry delegate takes the main conference and Workshop Day, and needs four nights at $309. That total reads $3,221. The same delegate registering after 4 December reads $3,421.
That total is the figure to open with. Florida restricts name-your-price bookings under state travel law, so the route is a request for proposal: one submission reaches more than 50 hotels, replies arrive within 24 to 72 hours, and acceptance stays optional.
