The Washington Ballet performs The Nutcracker at the Warner Theatre from Saturday 28 November to Sunday 27 December 2026. Septime Webre choreographed the production to the Tchaikovsky score, and the company lists a running time of about two hours. Groups start at 10 seats. The company publishes a discount ladder, a deposit term and a payment date. It publishes no room block, no attrition term and no cut-off date, so a buyer holding 20 seats has a ticket tier to settle and a housing ask to write.

Two versions of the top tier

The Nutcracker page lists three tiers: parties of 10 to 15 receive 10 percent, parties of 15 to 20 receive 15 percent, and parties of 20 receive 20 percent. The Group Experience page repeats the first two tiers and changes the third: parties of 20 receive a 20 to 25 percent discount. Both pages belong to the company. A buyer at 20 seats sits on the boundary between the 15 percent band and the 20 percent band, and between two published answers. Ask which figure applies, in writing, before the deposit leaves.

The seat price under the percentage

The group form prints per-seat prices by performance type and seating level, before discount. Saturday matinees and Friday evenings run $180, $150, $121, $93 and $61 across Levels 1 to 5. Saturday evenings and Thursday evenings run $170, $140, $111, $83 and $51. Sunday matinees run $180, $150, $121, $93 and $61. Sunday evenings, Tuesday evenings and Wednesday evenings run $159, $129, $99, $79 and $49.

The Nutcracker page prints ticket prices as low as $51 in its group block and as low as $41 in the request form. The group page prints $41. The lowest figure in the ladder itself is $49. Quote the level and the date, and the percentage has a number to work on.

Two dates the company does state

A group booking carries a 15 percent non-refundable deposit, and all payments must be paid two weeks before the performance. Flexible payment plans can be set up with the group sales liaison. The group also avoids venue single sale fees and receives free exchanges with flexibility on ticket amount. Orders of 15 or more tickets, or purchases across multiple dates, are collected at Will Call, and the company states that tickets are not authorized for resale.

Those are ticket terms. No housing term appears anywhere on the Nutcracker page: hotel, lodging and attrition all return nothing, and no room count, rate, deposit or balance date is attached to the group offer. The two-week figure governs seats. It does not govern rooms.

What the production is

The staging sets the party in an 1882 Georgetown mansion. For 2026 the company builds the show around the 250th anniversary of the nation: George Washington and King George III settle their score as a battle between the Nutcracker and the Rat King, and the dolls include the Bald Eagle, Lady Liberty and John Paul Jones. The company first mounted The Nutcracker in 1961, has performed at the Warner since 1992, and premiered the Webre version in 2004.

Where the room ask starts

A 20-seat group at two guests to a room implies 10 rooms, which is the number where hotelhaggle states most hotels offer group rates, with some properties quoting from five. The platform charges nothing to submit a request, hotels bid against each other, the rate is paid to the hotel directly with no markup, and replies typically arrive in 24 to 72 hours.

The company states no attrition and no cut-off, so no published housing benchmark stands behind the room ask. Ask each property for the nightly rate across the performance nights the group holds seats for, the cancellation date, the deposit, and the date the balance falls due. Put the request for a balance date later than the ticket deadline in the same message.

Sequence the two commitments

The ticket deposit is non-refundable and falls before the performance. Agree the room rate and the cancellation date first, then place the ticket deposit. A buyer who reverses the order holds a non-refundable seat commitment and an unpublished room commitment at the same time.

The Warner Theatre sits at 513 13th St NW.

The group request form lists 25 performance options between 28 November and 27 December, two on 24 December at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., and none on 25 December. A 20- or 26-December matinee puts the group in a hotel over a holiday week, and those nights belong in the first request.

Twenty seats, one tier conflict between two company pages, no published attrition. The room ask is the part of the booking the buyer writes.
