Pirates Voyage runs its Christmas show on select dates from Nov 4, 2026 through Jan 2, 2027 at 8907 N. Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach. The site publishes a four-tier seat ladder, a party limit inside the online checkout, and a group desk that quotes nothing until a buyer asks. A buyer can work all three.
Lever one: 49.06 dollars a seat
Two adults, Nov 20, the 6:00 PM curtain. The booking panel prints four totals. Value starts at 59.99 and lands at 70.17 with taxes and fees. Regular adds 12 dollars and lands at 83.25. Premium adds 18 and lands at 89.79. VIP adds 45 and lands at 119.23.
The step from Value to VIP costs 49.06 dollars a seat at checkout. Each upgrade carries 9 percent on top of the published figure: 12 dollars arrives as 13.08, 6 dollars as 6.54, 27 dollars as 29.44. Read the ladder in all-in numbers, because the tax attaches to the upgrade as well as to the seat.
Lever two: twenty-two guests online
The booking engine caps one online reservation at 22 guests. Under the guest counter the page says only that a party which cannot be seated together should call 843-497-9700. The form states the consequence and leaves the number off the page, so a group planner meets the cap by counting.
Twenty-two adult seats in Value is 1,543.74 dollars. Twenty-two in VIP is 2,623.06. The gap is 1,079.32 dollars for the same ninety minutes, and the form takes either figure without a call.
The cap matters twice over. The group desk sets its threshold at 20, so a party of 20, 21 or 22 sits in the only band where both channels are open. Nothing on the site compares the two, and the engine takes the retail price without comment.
Lever three: a desk that publishes nothing
Groups and Events states that a party of 20 or more receives special discount pricing. It gives a phone number, 865-505-3320, and a request form. It publishes no rate, no tier, no deposit term and no cut-off date.
The military rate follows the same pattern. The FAQ says the discount cannot be booked online and gives 843-497-9700. No figure appears on the site.
Two published discounts and one published price ladder. A buyer who reads the website alone sees one of the three.
What the call should establish
Ask for the per-seat figure at 20, 21 and 22 guests, all-in, and ask whether it beats 70.17. Ask whether the group rate includes the same four-course feast and the same ninety-minute show, since the theater serves one meal to every guest. Ask what the rate becomes if the party drops below 20 after a deposit. Ask for the number in writing before a card is read.
Put the same questions to the military desk if a guest qualifies.
Value seats sit at an angle
The site describes Value as seats set at an angle near the ends of the performance area, and Regular as seats in the same sections, closer and more central. Both include the show and the four-course feast.
The 13.08 dollar step from Value to Regular is the second smallest on the ladder, and it buys position inside the same section.
What VIP adds at 119.23
VIP carries the best seats in the house, a meet and greet with a cast member, a souvenir photo download, a cheering flag and a lanyard. It also moves the arrival: VIP guests are asked to arrive 90 minutes before the show, and every other guest up to one hour. On a 6:00 PM curtain that is 4:30 PM.
Date first, room second
The November calendar opens on the 4th and greys out the 8th, 10th, 12th, 15th, 17th, 19th and 30th. The page does not say whether a greyed date is dark or sold out, so confirm the curtain before a room is tied to it.
The show publishes no lodging partner and no room rate. Parking sits on site. That leaves the room as the one line in the trip without a published price, and the line a market of competing hotels can move. hotelhaggle sends an offer to 50 plus hotels, reports back in 24 to 72 hours and adds no commission to the rate a hotel accepts. The platform's seller-of-travel page lists Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Washington as states it cannot serve, and South Carolina sits outside that list.
Carry the ticket arithmetic into the offer. Four adults in Value are 280.68 dollars at the gate and four in VIP are 476.92, which tells a hotel what the evening costs before the room arrives on the bill.
