Timing Sets the Spend at a Free Parade

Admission is free and the day has three fixed points

A Very Broadway Christmas Parade steps off at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2026 at Broadway at the Beach, 1325 Celebrity Circle, Myrtle Beach. The venue answers the cost question on its own FAQ page. Admission to Broadway at the Beach is free, and only the attractions charge individual fees.

Three published times set the day. The parade runs 11 a.m. to noon. Visits with Santa and Friends in Center Court runs 12:30 to 3 p.m. The fireworks show goes up over Lake Broadway at 8 p.m. Everything a buyer can move sits between those three clocks.

The venue hours put the show inside the trading day

Broadway at the Beach trades 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays from November 27 through December 23, according to the hours page. December 5 falls inside that band. The parade opens the trading day and the 8 p.m. fireworks close it an hour before the property shuts.

The parade itself lists stilt walkers, classic cars, marching bands and special guests. The venue links a route PDF from the parade record, and that file returned 403 to this desk.

The 3 p.m. line in the Hard Rock coupon

Hard Rock Cafe publishes a coupon on the venue savings page. It reads five dollars off forty before 3 p.m., or ten dollars off sixty after 3 p.m., valid on a pre-tax purchase of food or merchandise, dine-in only, and not combinable with other offers.

The arithmetic decides which side of 3 p.m. to eat on. A $40 bill before 3 p.m. falls to $35, which is 12.5 percent off. A $60 bill after 3 p.m. falls to $50, which is 16.67 percent off. The later coupon asks for $20 more food and returns $5 more discount, a 25 percent return on the added spend.

Santa closes at 3, and the coupon turns over at the same minute

The Center Court session ends at 3 p.m. and the coupon switches at 3 p.m. A family that walks from Santa to a table collects the larger discount. A family that eats at noon collects the smaller one on a smaller bill.

The Center Court session carries no charge. The record lists complimentary face painting and balloon-tying stilt walkers alongside the Santa visit. That is the free block that fills the gap between the parade at noon and the fireworks at 8 p.m.

Arrive before the step-off

The parade occupies one hour of a Saturday. The commercial value of arriving before 11 a.m. is placement on the route. A guest who checks in at 3 p.m. on Saturday has missed the reason the date exists.

Hold the paid attractions until the crowd clears

The savings page prices the paid side of the property. WonderWorks runs two dollars off admission for up to six people. Hollywood Wax Museum runs three dollars off the All Access Pass, which covers three attractions. Soar and Explore runs three dollars off for up to six. Ripley's Aquarium sells a combo at up to 30 percent off. RIDEMAKERZ takes ten dollars off a ride purchase of forty dollars or more.

Those coupons are the price control on a day with free entry. The 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. window fills at a discount. The parade crowd has gone by then.

The 8 p.m. show is the reason to hold a room

The fireworks carry no ticket and no admission line. The venue marks them weather permitting. A day visitor who leaves after the parade is gone before dark. A guest who stays for the show needs a bed that night, and the room becomes the line item on the weekend a buyer can move.

What the per diem and the tax say

The GSA rate for Myrtle Beach, Horry County, South Carolina runs $113 a night in December 2026, with meals at $74, for the fiscal year beginning October 2026. South Carolina taxes accommodations at 5 percent sales tax plus a 2 percent accommodations tax, and local governments may add up to 3 percent of their own accommodations tax, per the Department of Revenue. At the state 7 percent the $113 ceiling becomes $120.91.

A free parade, a free Santa session and a free fireworks show leave the room as the whole cost of the Saturday. That is the number to hold the quote against.

Three properties the venue names

The accommodations page lists Hampton Inn Myrtle Beach at Broadway with 141 rooms on (843) 916-0600, described as in the heart of Broadway at the Beach. It lists Fairfield Inn with 111 rooms on (843) 444-8097 and a complimentary continental breakfast. It lists Holiday Inn Express with 114 rooms on (843) 916-4993 and a complimentary continental breakfast buffet. The three total 366 rooms.

Breakfast inside the rate starts the day cheaper than a room-only quote with a charge at the table.

What goes into the request

The hotelhaggle request reaches 50 or more properties in the destination, hotels bid against each other in one dashboard, responses land in 24 to 72 hours, and the guest pays the hotel directly with no markup added. For December 5 the request carries six lines: one night, Saturday arrival and Sunday departure; a room that sleeps four; a rate at or under the $113 ceiling; all taxes and any parking charge stated inside the quote; breakfast served before 11 a.m.; and confirmation that the room is held for a guest who returns after the 8 p.m. show.

Ask the property to name the walk to 1325 Celebrity Circle and to confirm the late return. The parade and the show are free. The room is where the money sits, and the request should treat it that way.
